SOY - Which part of the plant should I take???

Hi, I've been thinking about adding soy to my routine, but when I went to the store to buy it, it was in two forms, or two parts of the plant - soy's seeds (or beans) and soy's 'meat'. I don't know if that is the correct term in English, but in Croatian it's called 'meat'. I'm not sure which to buy or in which other form to add soy to my routine, could any of you ladies help me? Thanks!

You can usually get soy milk in common supermarkets if that helps

Hi, I was just wondering if there is a difference between Soya milk and Soy milk? This may seem silly, but I honestly could not tell! What brands are people drinking and do you just buy them at your local supermarket? Is there a particular brand that tastes good? Is it really something that aids well in NBE or should I not even bother? I would really like to know as I need to buy milk soon anyhow! Thanks!

Soy and soya milk is the same, its a milk that is made from soybeamns, and even if it might not contribute to NBE, it is supposed to be really healthy and packed with proteins and usually contains artificially added vitamins like B12. You can usually find soy milk and soy foods pretty much anywhere! Alpro Soya is a big brand, they do milks as well foods like yoghurts. Check out their website for recipies

Soy and soya are the same plant (Soy is the American name I believe but Soya has always been used in the UK). Regarding soya meat, I'm not an expert, but I don't think it's pure soya. I think soya is mixed with something else to give it a more meat like taste and appearance.

Thanks everyone for answers, I think I'll get soy seads or beans, cause they seem like sth you can swallow like a pill. If anyone else is taking soy in their routines and is interested, I read that the negatives are bad absorption and increased demand for some vitamins, so make sure to get enough of those!

I think Eve is right about the soy meat. It's not made purely from soya, although soya probably makes up most of it.

I've done a little net surfing and I think the correct term for what I called soy meat is actually soy meal. Apparently it's a side product when making oil from soy beans.
And I have another question I really hope someone could answer - are soy beans ok to take for NBE??? Their shell is really hard and I wonder if they are even digestible.
If Eve sees this - in what form did you take soy in your routine??
