Ok, just had to ask this.

If soy products are helpful to NBE, then why don't all Asian ladies have huge breasts?

Sorry, not meaning to sound picky or anything........just curious.

Asian women have a much lower rate of breast cancer than Western women, so I think the soy is probably helping their breasts in this way at least.

Hi, I'm from Asian, but I rarely eat any products relate to Soy, neither do my friends.

I'm also curious how you got the impression that Asian people eat lots of Soy?Smile

My apologies AHYA. It was a natural assumption to assume that soy is consumed more in Eastern countries than in the West.

I have always eaten a lot of soy produce in my diet but always remained flat chested until I began NBE. I've often heard it said that soy isoflavones helps to promote breast growth so was curious as to why this was so.

I've heard that Asians don't consume nearly as much soy as we are led to believe, and that when they eat it it is in a fermented form (soy sauce, miso.) Supposedly, other forms of soy are potentially harmful; for one, they reduce thyroid function. That's a good reason to keep away from soy while doing BE, because impaired thyroid function is believed to inhibit BE.

It's ok, faerycat, don't worry, I know you didn't mean anything. Smile

Actually, I have a similar question. Pueraria mirifica is from Thailand, but it seems girls in Thailand don't have bigger boobs. Wonder why.

AHYA and Buffy are right about Asians and soy - in general Asians do not consume as much soy as we are led to believe. I say in general because you have to remember that Asia is a huge place containing many countries and billions of people! It can be a little bit crazy to generalise about so many people. Average consumption of soy across the whole of Asia is about 9 or 10 grams a day, which is not very much, but admittedly more than in the West. However, there are some parts of Asia where soy consumption is notably high, so it's fair to say that SOME Asians consume a lot of soy, but wrong to say that Asians in general consume a lot of it. The highest soy consumption in the world is said to be on the Japanese island of Okinowa and the people there are also renowned for their good health and great longevity (I have no information about their breast size).
