Ladies be patience..
May 7 2006, 7:11 AM
What Lisa is saying is right. Darisha is just trying to help some people who might have the same problem as she do. This is suppose to be a friendly forum and suppose to help each other on NBE. Where does all the spirits goes? Take it easy. We don't need to condemn each other. As I am sure Darisha don't mean any harm at all.
We are big enough to think what is best for our own body. And as far as consuming. Anything moderate is good. If you take more than that, it won't be good for the body. Like a phrase, an apple a day will make a doctor go away. But if you take more than that, for example 4 or 5 a day. I think you are the one will look for a doctor.
I hope this will help to make things better..

There are good and bad things about every foodstuff. As Chocogirl has rightly said, there is practically nothing we can eat or drink that is regarded as totally safe. I don't know why some people get upset at having this pointed out. The general view about soy is that anyone who eats soy foods in moderation does not need to be concerned with any possible dangers and traditional soy supplements are also fine. The concern is really about people who consume heavily-processed soy such as soy protein products and people who consume high amounts of soy under the impression that it's a health food and the more you eat the better.

The study I was referring to shows soy to lower cholesterol levels by an amount which would equate to a 25% reduced risk of a heart attack. You can say this is scientifically proven because there are dozens of clinical studies showing similar results and concluding that soy is good for your heart. In the US the FDA even allows soy products to have a "healthy for your heart" claim on their labels.

i dont want to cause some crazy debate cause wither soy works for NBE is still a big question mark and women just pick and choose their herbs and hope for the best.
now im not surpised that Asian women think that it helps with NBE. 1) its a strong phyoestrogen so it will affect hormone levels very easily 2) Asian women consume alot of it. now with that, how can anyone say that its good at NBE amoung Asains when alot of asian women have it as a stable in their dietes anyways. there is a control veriable but no manipulative varibles to verify. Asain women also dont really have the largest cupsizes in the world. i believe they are consideres to be the smallest.so im not convinced right away soy really is a major factor in cases of NBE where soy is consumed often and in generous doses. sorry, i dont want to offend anyone and im only speaking from stats i saw a while ago but i could be wrong there. if anyone have actual numbers from a study to add please pull them out.
im not completely throwing soy out the window but i dont think its a very efficient at causing NBE. it may help through balancing estrogen levels but every women have different body chemistries and hormone levels and needs so i consider it luck that soy can be taken and cause NBE (on its own)and hit just the right balace to cause NBE time and time again for many different women. now there are some women here who took it and had success but i would consider tha coincience until more cases of success comes in. plus most of the women who took soy also took other stuff that are very popular and considered strong NBE products.
normally i would recommend not taking soy cause its may work against NBE and i still believe that but i also recognize it also may work in favor for SOME women. so i would be careful. no one cant be sure how it will work for them.

As suggested I read the articles but I know many other articles in Taiwan sites that give more balanced view. Actually jennelle made good points above that nobody eating soy in moderation needs to have concern. I also think that you find negative comments on every food if you look hard enough. In summary I think nobody is likely to improve their health by not eating soy, but many could improve their health by starting to eat soy. This does not mean that soy is good in every way, but the health benefits are considerable.

Well I read it, and while there may be certain truths in this article. It is also a known fact that we have artificial hormones in our drinking water and this is more closely related to females reaching sexual maturity earlier and various other factors. But we'd die without water. I guess it's good to remind each other not to over consume products, any products.

Asian women don't have the largest cupsizez but their breastz r proportioned to their petite frame! They do not get fat in hips, thighs, stomach or other areas so it is logical that a big breast for them is a 34C for instanze.Italians for example may have bigger breastz but they have larger hips ,butt and belly too.

If you take in too much of anything is bad. Like if you take in too much water your cells will drown. I don't think you should get freaked out b/c of soy. Just take it in moderation.

I know for a fact that too much soy can cause gout in some people. One of my professors talked about this result from him eating too much tofu when he was in Taiwan. However, within moderation, I don't believe soy is dangerous. I drink it all the time, and it has agreed with my body (unfortunately no breast growth either HA!). Maybe some people are allergic to it, and the website is more geered toward those?
