Thank you guys. I hope more people will sign the petition. This event has to be stopped.

I signed it. They now have over 3 million signatures.

I read a news story that the government backed down from associating itself with the event (so it has been called off), but that some people/restaurants, etc. will still continue to take part in the event. I don't know how accurate that is, and I know that it could just be hidden, but I hope it really has been called off. I can't imagine, if it was called off, what they would plan to do with all of those dogs.

Stories like this make me so sad. I even read that many of the dogs were stolen pets. I am happy to know that there are established groups out there taking a stand though, and that so many people are against it.
