Back in the early `70's, Atlantic records started a series called, Syntonic Research. each album was at LEAST half an hour per side and had nothing but sound effects on each side. One side might be a thunderstorm, the other might be ocean waves crashing up on the shore, another would be dawn in a wooded area, another might be dusk in another wooded are. I'd say there were at least 30 altogether. Most of them could be played at varying speeds, anything from 8 rpm to 120 rpm
