the first link you gave us contradicts NBE. It says that the mice who were given hops were killed on day 4.

which link exactly? I skimmed and didn't see it. One is behind a paywall, and I only relied on its abstract. They normally kill the mice in experiments. I don't know why they do it, if they weren't harmed during testing or if they weren't examining the mouse's body.
