I think you shouldn't open to bottles just to put it in a jar, they loose potency after you open it. Swansons puts it extra in very small bottles.

Glass jars... or plastic? They are always stored in a cool dark place in glass. I do this with my dried herbs In bulk as well. They come in large plastic bags, yuck. So that's why I do this.
I have never had a problem, thanks though.
