Tanner Stages: I, II, III, IV, V

#1

Hello,

I wanted to know if some of you are familiar with the Tanner stages?

I was surprised not long ago to find out I suit Tanner 3 stage from personal research
Which would suggest some room for potential further development of secondary sexual characteristics if the conditions allow for it

Here is a brief summary of the characteristics:

Pubic Hair
  • 1: None.
  • 2: Sparse, light, straight at base.
  • 3: Darker, coarser, curlier, vertical strip.
  • 4: Adult-like, triangular, not full.
  • 5: Dense, adult triangle; may extend to thighs/abdomen.

Breasts
  • 1: Flat chest, only nipple raised.
  • 2: Breast bud, small mound, areola enlarges.
  • 3: Further enlargement, no contour separation.
  • 4: Areola/nipple form secondary mound.
  • 5: Mature breast, smooth contour, areola flush.

Yes the tanner stages are quite a useful tool to use if you want to check or track the physical development of progress through puberty. They have been mentioned in the forum a few times and rightly so, because they are a good way of assessing how your puberty went and if you had a normal growth pattern, and if you didn't where did you stall on the scale (which goes from 1 to 5 as you know).

So, hitting Tanner stage 3 means you're right in the middle of puberty. You'll notice some pretty clear changes happening, but you're not quite fully developed yet. There's definitely still room for your secondary sexual characteristics to continue developing, but remember, everyone goes through these changes at their own unique pace, which can be influenced by things like your health and hormones.

Yes, I would never have thought I could get through a catch up puberty in 30s.
Luckily I still have a window of partial catch up now wirh natural endogenous hormones and can definitely start feeling the shift.

Exactly, and because it can take months up to a year or two even for full effect, then will have to be patient.
