Uneven breast while breastfeeding

#1

Hi All,

I am breastfeeding my second baby. I started my nbe journey 10 years ago. Started with barely nothing and too underweight. I started with simple herbs and had tiny growth. Then after pumping milk for my first kid ( He couldn’t suck so I had to pump for 2 years) I had some growth. Then after 8 years on and off nbe I got pregnant with my second. This time I was eating good calories and had some breast size increases during pregnancy. Now I am breastfeeding my 6 months old. She doesn’t like one breast. Eventually supply got low on that breast. Now the size is too small compared to the other one. Is there anything i can do to keep it’s size during breastfeeding. What are the safest methods while breastfeeding. Chat gpt said pumping is not good since our mammary glands/ milk ducts are already increased size for breastmilk production. Help mee?

Chat GPT? Probably programed to give the safest answer as they wouldn't want to be sued for giving bad advice.
Answer No to any question and you can't get into trouble.

Are you pumping milk out of the smaller breast? This should help to balance things out. I don't agree with Chat GPT, can't see a downside.

Yes , I am pumping but not very often just to keep supply. You are right it gives you safest answer. But it makes sense right? using noogleberry can damage the already enlarged mild ducts or whatever inside. I am curious anyone here tried vaccum pumping during breastfeeding. Keyword searching is not helping me.

I've always heard that over-pumping with breast pumps whilst breastfeeding can cause problems, as you can gorge the milk ducts and maybe cause a blockage. But here's a question - does Noogleberry pumping act on the breast in the same way as a breast pump? I mean does it act to increase milk supply in the same way that a breast pump does?

As someone who used both pumps, I felt like breastmilk pump create vacuum around areola and that pulls milk from whole breast, that mimics baby’s sucking mechanism. But, noogleberry creates vacuum around all parts of breast.

Yes I'm sure that's exactly right, but even though noogleberry creates vacuum around all parts of breast, would it not still stimulate lactation? Not as effectively as a breastmilk pump I know, but wouldn't it stimulate lactation to some extent?

Yes of-course, even massages can stimulate to an extent.
