Herbs and birth control

#1

What is the best kind of birth control pill to be on when you're taking herbs? Does it really matter, as I noticed some women were talking about choosing a progesterone only pill for this reason.

Yes I came across some women saying that a progesterone only contraceptive pill is a better bet if you're following a herbal program, but then I've also heard it said that perhaps you can get breasts to grow on herbs better when you're not taking any contraceptive pill at all.

I think this is one of those questions to which there is no real answer. I agree that some suggest taking a progesterone only pill, but I can think of at least one person who changed from a progesterone only pill to a combined pill and then got better results.

It’s definitely true that different people react differently, some swear by progesterone-only pills, others see better changes with combined ones, and some avoid hormonal birth control altogether when using herbs. One thing that’s worth keeping in mind is the potential long-term effects of certain hormonal contraceptives.

For example, women who used Depo-Provera (which is a progesterone-only shot) and experienced unexpected side effects have been exploring their options for legal recourse. If you're curious about what those cases have looked like, especially financially, here’s some info on Depo-Provera settlement amounts.

It might not apply to everyone, but it’s useful context when weighing all your options.
