Bug

I'mm very definitely with many doubts! I've read several times about fenugreek and saw that he is declared phyto-estrogen, stimulus for production of natural estrogen, phyto-progesterone and stimulus for production of natural progesterone.

Could someone give me a light please? Shy

Thanks!!!

Whoa, what??? Yeah researching an be difficult because there are so many weird sources out there...

All I know about Fenugreek is that it raises prolactin, has very mild antiandrogen effects, and allows for a greater capacity of hormones to function positively in the system. It is NOT a phytoestrogen, and does NOT raise estrogen levels or progesterone levels. You can take a look at my bust thread on Abi's latest post, where she discusses Fenugreek in detail. http://www.breastnexus.com/showthread.php?tid=14862&page=10 Post #92. It is the second half of the post.

I have read that as well FG causes an increase in progesterone. I am extremely high in progesterone so when i take FG I basically crash out for days.

Believe it or not, it actually doesn't! Rolleyes
You can find it on a lot of webpages dedicated to increasing progesterone, but some may be illy written because they do not thoroughly understand the original source from where they got their information. And some of them are accurate, you just have to find them (like this one: http://www.ehow.com/how_5620983_use-diet...erone.html ). Fenugreek does not increase progesterone or estrogen. Fenugreek balances them and allows the body to have higher levels of these two hormones before experiencing the negative side effects of having too much of either of these. In other words, it increases your body's capacity to have higher healthy levels of these hormones.

To further clarify why there is commonly a mix up about Fenugreek "producing progesterone" in the body is because it contains diosgenin, which (like Wild Yam) has not been found to convert to any form of progesterone in the body... although for some reason people want to THINK that it does.

Thank you Timarie!!! I wonder why I crash out when I take FG. I also get extremely moody, even on pm. Well if it's balancing the E/PG I should just try to stick it out... Are you still on the Combo of PM and FG?

thanks for the light:
"In other words, it increases your body's capacity to have higher healthy levels of these hormones."

So FG is a must in NBE! Helps on both sides: estrogen and progesterone!

It is likely from an insulin response. Try balancing it out with something slightly sugary right before the time you'd crash out from it.

Hi tinytots!

At the beginning of my FG journey, I felt moody, I felt angry and I felt a little bit crazy! Maybe my body was getting used to this herb. I already started at 2gr per day! high amount. I bought the seeds. When you see, one teaspoon is nothing! But for the body, maybe it's the something BIG. After a month I had no sympthons. Now my body is completly used to it! I'm also taking 1 tablespoon per day!

Keep up girl!!
