The following posts are from BN members about the side effects of PM. Some of the statements are from recognized longtime BN members. This is only a small sampling of reported side effects. The point being is to inform BN members on the known side as experienced and reported by real people and not a faceless obscure study.

Just had a breast exam and I have a lump in my left breast. Getting a mammogram with diagnostic testing on Monday. Really the question is here, did the PM actually start to work. My left side is smaller. The lump is directly under my nipple. Hmm could it be like budding occuring as in puberty. We all take these risk when using herbs we really have no idea of where they came from or what chemicals were used in the air. You can not completely trust the internet for all the correct information.

Irrespective of what type of lump it is a lumps a bloody lump and when you've known women who've gone through mastectomies and the subsequent emotional damage it sure puts the &&&&ts up you taking herbs Sad

tinytots is a very cool lady, we shared a similar side-effect of eye floaters (black dots). We became tight, we traded laughs and some sorrows, and then she stopped posting which has always concerned me, I hope she's doing ok. She is a devoted mother to her kids, like I said, a very cool lady and awesome friend, I miss her.

I appreciate you both, Lotus and Ella for warning me of the dangers since joining the forum. I really hope that tinytots just got sick of nbe and that's why she hasn't posted anything. Hopefully she is just busy with her family and put breast enhancement behind her or on the back burner. I would imagine if something bad happened I would post angry explicits even if only a sentence long.
This post is timely for me. I have already reported widespread muscle fasciculations that I suspected were due to PM. I now have another condition that I suspect is also related to the overuse of PM, that being the onset of macular degeneration.

Use with caution...

I'm sorry to hear that Misty, I hope you get the appropriate care. I developed a retinal hemmorhage that required surgery, that was about year ago. I still have the floaters and constant pain (which is permanent)....and....as an added bonus excessive tear duct drainage (post surgery).

I'm equally sorry to hear that Lotus! I guess you have experienced "wet macular degeneration." Do you know if that was related at all to NBE?

There was no trauma or diabetes, and blood pressure was ruled out. It happened pretty quickly, within months of combining PM and BO. The hemorrhaging got so bad it was like seeing black snowflakes (albeit blizzard like conditions). The surgery was very painful even with the local, though dr. eyeball assured me it would be virtually pain free. I was seeing a florescent hue for days. I would say without a doubt it was 90% related.
