Hi chiquitabella,
It's a strange cocktail. It doesn't only contain the progesterone, but wild yam extract, which is for the second half of the cycle, and panax ginseng extract, which is an estriol herb. Estriol is the estrogen of pregnant women. It's as effective as estradiol for NBE, if it's applied every 1-4 hours. Between longer intervals, the estrogenic effect drops rapidly. So on average between normal application times, it's not a sufficiently strong estrogen to limit its use to the first half of the cycle.
So overall, I'd say this cream is for the second half of the cycle.
I don't think the fact that the progesterone is synthesized from soy makes a difference. In the end, it's progesterone. "USP" means it's United States Pharmacopeia (USP) grade progesterone. Only, I couldn't find on
www.usp.org
what criteria a progesterone product has to meet to be USP grade.
