NEED HELP on dosages and what kind of herbs. Wahaika?

#1

Hi everyone,

This is my first post after following this forum on and off for about a year now. I lost faith in HBE after I took beauti-full and breast actives but after discovering this site, I am going to give it another shot! I learned that companies out there (like the 2 I tried) don't put enough herbs into their products to make them effective enough.

So I need help on deciding what kind of herbs and dosages. Wahaika? I heard you are quite the expert and of course I welcome others.

Here's a little about me:

Age: 21, Asian
Weight: 126lbs
Height: 5'5.5"
Bust: barely an AA

I'm not taking any medication at the moment but I may have to take Accutane for my ance in the near future.

I'm not hoping for a for C cup or anything, but I want to at least be able to fit into an A cup.

I've been looking at EveM's program. Do you guys think I should try that?

Thanks!

Hello Hope,

I would strongly suggest that you consider all information about Accutane before taking it.

Accutane Side Effects:

If you want to lower your acne, it is a good idea to get a hormone test.
Have you been diagnosed with PCOS?
Slow thyroid? Fast thyroid?
Any cycle problems?

Some women get good results from Ortho Tri-Cyclen for their acne, especially while doing an herbal NBE program. An infinitely better solution than Accutane in my opinion.

Some herbs you can take:

Palmetto (at least 3000mg per day),
Pumpkin Seed Oil (Dosage recommended on the bottle),
Hops (Take in *at least* equal amounts with fenugreek,
Mint tea once or twice per day.
Topical Vitamin A

Stay away from EPO as an internal.
Address diet - remove starchy and refined carbs. Get protein and healthy fats.
Borage oil would be good - inside and out.
EXERCISE!

EveM's program would be a good one for you. I am a big proponent of this program. This is a long term program so don't expect to see results immediately. A product you could take would be Wonderup, but EveM's Program still is a little better in your case because you have the freedom to adjust the herbs and take acne into account. Your age and acne situation appear to support the use of hops.

What do you think?

Hi Wahaika,

Thanks for your reply and suggestions.

I have taken a hormone test and everything came back normal. The doctor noted that my female hormones are there but kind of slow. I have irregular cycles, they are either 1 or 2 months apart. I've also been to a Gynecologist and a Endocrinologist and they said everything looked normal and I may just have to wait until one day my cycle is normal. So that didn't help much.

Do you think it's a good idea for me to take so many herbs?

I've also heard that the reason herbs work is that it provides the body with estrogen which make the breasts grow but too much estrogen in the body is not good. Is that true? I'm not sure what to believe because so many people on this site are taking a lot of herbs.

Hi Hope,

A lot of herbs is usually what it takes. The amount of herbs taken is actually fairly low. The herbs don't provide the body with estrogen. They provide a "phytoestrogen" which is a molecule that is different than estrogen but similar enough to fill estrogen receptors. Other herbs stop certain things and other help, so it just depends on the herb and the effect.

Pueraria mirifica might be a good direction to go, also.

I would have to disagree with your endocrinologist and gynecologist that your hormones are normal. If they were, you would have a regular monthly cycle. To really get an idea of what the body is doing, daily hormone tests should be conducted but this is idealistic and expensive. So, they test on one day and compare the hormone levels with what they should be for that day. But the test is valid only for the conditions of that day. Which specific hormones were "slow?"

Can you describe every single thing you had to eat and drink over the past week?

Do you have any problems with hirtuism?

As a priority order, do you want to focus on NBE, your cycle, or acne as the most important thing?

Wahaika,

Good to know about herbs and estrogen.

It's been a while since my hormone test so I don't specifically remember which hormones were on the slow side.

I don't have any problems with hirtuism.

What I had to drink and eat this week:

Drinks: water, milk, orange juice
Foods: rice, caesar salad, chicken, pork, ritz crackers, cheerio mix, ice cream, cucumber, potatoes, carrots

As priority, I want to focus on NBE.

Hi Hope, I took Accutane and it worked but it does not treat acne for good. It came back and got really bad when I was pregnant. Saw palmetto cleared my skin within a few days of taking it and it is one of the herbs recommended to you by Wahaika above so you should definitely include it in your program.

Hello Hope,

To address androgens with diet, remove the rice, crackers, cheerio mix, ice cream, and potatoes. This includes bread. Eat as much ceasar salad as you can and bet plenty of protein (chicken).

Try EveM's program (this is a long term program) or you could try Wonderup.

If you want to try PM, use St. Herb. You will need about 1000mg per day. Also get the powdered herb. (they sell it that way too) and make your own topical with borage and olive oils. 1/2 cup of olive oil, 1/2 cup of powdered PM, 24 one gram capsules of borage oil.

Also add 3000mg of saw palmetto and a cup of fennel tea every day. If you still have androgen problems after a month of this and the NBE program, we can address it at that time. Also add a good multivitamin that has a potent B complex, or just add a B complex separately.

Hi, Wahaika, can you please tell why it is important to stay away from EPO? I have just bought a bottle Sad and now I'm hesitant to start taking it.

Hi, Hope, I too had a problem convincing docs that I had hormone problems (they were just saying that everything looks normal). I started taking BBT (basal temperature) every day for 3-5 cycles. Then I had good charts and the doctors were convinced I had a problem. Sad that we have to convince doctors, isn't it?

Wahaika, I forgot to ask one very important question about PM. You say about 1000mg a day, do you think it should be taken throughout the cycle? I take it in follicular pase only and stop one-two days before ovulation to allow the drop of estrogen to trigger the ovulation. If I continue taking it I postpone ovulation. So far I see growth even if I take PM for 12-13 days per month. There's a Japanese girl here who grew to E cup, she was taking PM throughout the cycle first but then changed to taking it only in follicular phase. In luteal phase she was taking weaker phytoestrogens (wild yam fenugreek, so on). There's a big big discussion about this cycling thing with PM. What is your opinion about it? Thank you in advance!

Hi Wahaika,

So you're saying I should avoid foods with grain? Eat a lot of salad and meat. No ice cream? so avoid dairy products also?

I'm probably going to buy the herbs from http://www.mountainroseherbs.com/ for EveM's program, saw palmetto from GNC. I looked up st.herb PM, I don't see a powder.

Do you have any trusted sites you could recommend to me to get some of these herbs?
