I am taking Vitex, it is supposed to help with hormonal imbalances.

Vitex is similar to PC but much milder/weaker.  It saturates quickly meaning you don’t really get more effect from a higher dose, making an excessive amount that much more unlikely.  It is usually a safe bet to try it out.  Be patient due to the small (but significant) effect.

Thanks, so I will have to take it for an extended period of time until I get results from it? Thus far, I can tell that my period cramps aren't as bad as they were before!

That’s a very good sign.  Yeah it may take many months or a couple years for full results.  50% saponin shatavari or fenugreek extract (or other strong extract, or a good amount of sprouted fenugreek seeds) may help too.  Or maybe progesterone cream, making sure it’s not too much.

That's my problem, I have a hard time being consistent with things for an extended period of time. If I don't see results, I get discouraged, even though I know that some things take time. 
I will try progesterone cream first as I already have one at home, I wasn't sure whether to use it in addition to the Vitex and when exactly my ovulation occurred, you are supposed to use it between the day of your ovulation and the first day of your period as far as I know.
