I need help with MSM please :)

Hey all! I can't do a search for "MSM" on here because it's less than 4 characters. And searching through all the threads got tiresome after an hour. So I decided to post a new thread.

I've been drinking bone broth, but also want to jump on the MSM wagon full time too, not just for NBE, but because my knee is really bothering me and I'm hoping it helps with my allergies too (and skin, hair and nails. Lol)

Soooo....

I've taken this sporadically in very tiny doses, but want to start taking this every day.

1- Is it better taken in the evening? I took it this morning and got tired and a somewhat high feeling for a couple of hours. (Like a foggy headed high, kinda like the morning after you take NyQuil, but no where near that goofy)

2- How much am I supposed to take to be effective with NBE? The doseage label says 1/2 teaspoon, so I'm starting with about 1/4 of a 1/2 teaspoon measuring spoon, and will gradually build up. Am I doing the build up right or is it not necessary?

3- Im assuming that I need to start taking Vitamin C supplements with this as well since I remember seeing that so many times. Anyone have any suggestions as to how much Vit C? And why people take Vit C with MSM?

4- This is the brand I'm taking. Good enough? Any suggestions?

Charlz google the purity test when you settle on a brand to make sure youre getting a decent brand.
All my googling showed the girls who took it with vit c had best results.
when hubby had his knee op the naturalist wanted him to take msm with vit c to help the healing process.
I personally think vit c helos with EVERYTHING Smile

And i read at least 2-3 grams (teaspoons) if your tummy can hack it for nbe ( based on what i googled and testimonials)

Wow that's a lot of studies. Nice.

1. I don't think it matters but usually spread out is better. You may also want to start slow until you get used to it since you seem to be reacting so strongly. At least that means you need it, or else have a weak stomach.

2. 2 tsp regardless of your reasons because the whole body will take it. Not necessarily for nbe by itself though. Not any more than fat or protein is. Great for elasticity though.

3. You don't need much vitamin C. 150 mg is plenty or it would be much better to eat a little fresh fruit each day to get variety rather than wasted extra quantity. Reduces appearance of veins and improves circulation for example. C alone doesn't.

4. Ya probably. They're all the same molecule except for impurities and that is a major brand that's been around a while. You'd hear of any disasters by now.
