Really?? Probiotics..blood pressure?? How weird. Oh well, even if that's correct, I have to take probiotics and it's a good idea for you to keep going with them too.  I think one reason that so many articles are touting blood pressure-lowering effects is because so many people have high pressure and want things to fix that.   So on a positive note, at this rate you and I will certainly NEVER have to worry about high blood pressure!  Big Grin

I'm not sure about omega 3 but here are just a few links stating that fish oil in particular increases testosterone: https://www.quora.com/How-does-fish-oil-...stosterone
https://mantalityhealth.com/3-supplement...tosterone/
http://www.naturally-boost-testosterone.com/fish-oil-testosterone/

Then again, according to this study it decreases testosterone (correct me if I'm wrong): https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3941370/

Oh and in the thread that I posted in that other thread (lol) about "fatty suggestions", a member or two complained about acne and I remember I also got acne when I was much younger while taking fish oil. Not 100% sure if there is any correlation. Anyway, if I continue EPO (omega 6), I was thinking of opting for krill oil to obtain omega 3 (it also contains astaxanthin which goes back to our discussion about how it could decrease DHT....hopefully it doesn't increase or lower anything else...... Dodgy ).

Yes, let us know when you start noogling/taking supplements for NBE! And yes continue taking probiotics. I'm taking it too and EPO and inositol and sea buckthorn (all lower blood pressure apparently) so like you cleverly said, maybe they write that on purpose!

NaturalLady, you had me lmao with the lazy susan comment, it seems like the easiest way to make a decision by far!  Big Grin

I can't speak on where astaxanthin falls in the NBE spectrum but you can get it from your diet if you consume wild caught seafood like shrimp, crab, salmon, algae, lobster, and red trout.  Farmed seafood contains synthetic astaxanthin which is a petrochemical synthesized from wheat.  Anyone who decides to take an astaxanthin supplement should absolutely be mindful of where it is sourced from.

From these articles, it seems to increase testosterone and depending on the dosage it can either be pro or anti-aromatase.

Dont take aromatase with it..its counterproductive and you could end up with way too much estrogen and too low testosterone in comparison. .it will also shock your system too much..you could end up hypothyroid..just take supplements in balance..i think in your case first htake care of your testosteron..wigh either an a.a or aromatase..when your body is used to thatyou could add P and E. Best woulc bd hormone testing its possible..Smile

Oh dear, now I'm even more confused Hannah  Smile Why did you say that you need to buy white peony in this thread about astaxanthin??: http://www.breastnexus.com/showthread.php?tid=27669&highlight=astaxanthin

I agree with you regarding DHT/testosterone. We don't want to block them. Too much isn't good (members of the "less hair, more boob" club know what I mean, sigh!), but too little isn't good either. I used to think DHT is pure evil but it promotes heart health, increases strength etc.

Yes, getting blood work done is fundamental. I have PCOS and blood tests (and unwanted hairs lol) indicate high T and normal E and P levels. I'm taking inositol to lower testosterone by the way Hannah, but not sure how long it takes for it to work.... am getting impatient. Ladies, does white peony give you any side effects? Like palpitations? I wonder if it contains caffeine? Coz even plain tea gives me palpitations...

You can buy white peony if you want to opt for a double approach..with an aromatase like white peony rootextract you will lower your dht andup your estrogen at the same time. I think we misunderstood each otherinthe otherthread..but its all so complex lol. Idk about thecaffeine...but ifyou take tea there ofcourse will becaffeine in it..but i would advise supplementing anyhow. I dontthink teas are very effective. You might have to drinkloads of tea...notvery practical. Sorry for my late reply, but pregnancy is exhausting!:p

Well thank you, Ruby M.!  I'm glad I gave you a good laugh!  Big Grin I guess it's kind of like Wheel of Fortune, but with pill prizes instead of trips to Hawaii!

I am really getting baffled on this astaxanthin thing.. I would like to try it sometime as an anti-androgen but I'm not crazy about the idea of risking an increase in T..  However, Lotus and Hannah say that it really works for reducing androgens.. I guess the only way for me to find out would be to live on the wild side and just try it.  Ruby, I completely agree that we need to be careful of sourcing as well.  Who knows where stuff comes from nowadays. So are you going to take a walk on the wild side and just go for it? Like Ruby M. said you have to be careful where astaxanthing is sourced from. If I decide to get some krill oil, it contains astaxanthin so looks like I'll be on the wild side with you too lol

Hannah, I remember you mentioning something about breasts deflating from taking too much astaxanthin (1 pill a day) which is worrying me a bit....I think you said that you felt it was better when you took one pill every three days....I guess it depends on the individual so we'll see.

EDIT: I just read over your comment! Congrats Hannah! Smile How many months are you?? Here's a link for you: https://www.whattoexpect.com/pregnancy/s...tigue.aspx

Thats right...i think every body has some natural aromatase in themselves and maybe what happened with me is that i lowered my dht to a point nothing could be converted to E any longer... Huh or dht was so low that my "natural thermostate" figured hey things are getting outof balance...too much E and P compared too T levels..lets produce less off all these hormones. Bc bodies has this natural thermostate...they react on our nbe activities...they want balance.... One way to do this is not taking high doses obviously.
Thanks for the link Bettie thats kind of you..i should get into delivery anytime soon this month or at the beginning of August..im so excited in a positive and negative way lol. I have to do our mother nature women prestation... Shy

You're welcome, Hannah.  Wow, you must be truly excited!  Smile  So your baby will be a Leo :-)

Yes, I'm for low doses, especially when you're trying something for the first time. Like you said, if we lower dht or T too much, E levels might drop too. Ugh, another thing to worry about! That's why I thought maybe one should just take a pro-aromatase and nothing else lol. As you mentioned, I do believe that we all naturally "aromatize" but maybe women who have high testosterone have issues with the aromatization process and need a boost....
