When did you ladies start swelling with the brava system?
I've only been wearing mine for like..3 days now.
But I'm just curious when you started to notice alot of swelling?

I started swelling after my first night, woke up and had went to a D cup! (from a small B). Obviously this went down during the day but encouraged me to keep using the system. Have you not noticed any swelling yet?

i noticed it too from early days, first or second day..as soon as i managed to wear the device for 10hours min..
what i have noticed is that my swelling is really small when i wear it 10 to 13 hours..my boyfriend says there is swelling but i do not notice. now when i wear for 17 hours and then soon after, following wear time another 17 (like weekends) the become huge!
so yes, the more you wear it the more swelling...
re.growth not sure yet

Does swelling last the WHOLE day or only part of it? On average how long do your breasts stay swelled? Also, how *big* do they swell up to?

in my case it absolutely depends..
from 17 hours of wearing time onwards, my breasts swell up more than 2 sizes and become huge...really huge..this lasts until next wearing time (10 hours or more) but if i do not manage to do another 17hours the swelling is far smaller and next wear time i have lost it all...i generally only manage around 12 hours per day..there is some swelling but not one that i am satisfied with...
and also would not know how long it lasts for, since it is not amazing swelling either...
so i guess in my case, 12 hours is not enough, beyond that, the more i wear the bigger swelling, the more frequent, the more the swelling lasts for...

But you can't be doing this FOREVER, right? I mean, if the swelling isn't permanent, then why all the torture? Or have you actually grown with the brava system? I still haven't understood it fully. Does it make breast tissue expand permanently or just swell?

theoretically after the 10 weeks permanent growth has happened or starts happening. At the beginning it is just swelling, then progressively some growth takes place, growth that they claim is permanent.
I cant tell yet, whether any growth has happened, this is only end week 3 for me..., i would say no. Only swelling.
People over the 10 and even 20 weeks have had mixed results, and as for how long it lasts, no idea.

I am sorry to tell you this, but the answer is no, I have been wearing the system for nearly 6 months(26 weeks), yet my breast size is still not the same as my initial swelling. With brava, you should never set your expectation too high, Brava could only gives you modest improvment.

I don't know how I could have stuck with it for so long, but i did, and will continue for another a month and a half or so. It actually isn't as hard as you think it is, once you get used to it, it becomes part of your daily routine. The only hard part is to have NO social life for that long. I guess I am just really desparate, i had always had small breasts, and after breast feeding two babies, they almost became non-existent(AAAA cup). 6 months of Brava put me to a small B cup in the evening before puting on the domes again, but i am not confident about keeping all that growth once i stop, so i plan to wear it for a few more weeks to keep the growth.

What is the average amount of swelling?
May 31 2006 at 7:40 PM Heidi (no login)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello everyone! I just bought the Brava sport. On Thursday, I will be end of week one. I was wondering how much swelling is normal. When I take the brava off I have about 1" in swelling. Should there be more than that? I have been wearing it for 10 hours..I wondering if I should be wearing for more than 10.

I'm just starting and an inch is about right for the swelling that I get. But in my case the inch doesn't last very long. By the end of the day it's gone completely. Is that how it happens for everyone else?

How long did it take to outgrow your domes from swelling?

I started with the medium/wide domes and took 2 weeks to hit the end of the domes.

then went to the narrow/xlarge took me 5 months to hit the end of those. Went to the xlarge/wide domes probably should have tried the large/wides not sure how much cc diff internal they are.

The difference from the xlarge/narrows to the xlarge/wides is alot. i can wear the xlarge/narrow and fill them completely with a little extra suction almost fill them with just the smartbox. but when i put the xlarge/wides on after 10 hours of wearing the narrows. i come fairly close to filling the xlarge wides but it requires alot of extra suction. Don't i wish i could fill them completely however. Tongue.

Hope this helps

I took me 6 weeks to start growing out of my narrow large domes, from just using smartbox. I am now awaiting the arrival of my wide extra large ones, they gunna look huge!

livinonaprayer

I started with Wide-Large and am still in that size. I was between sizes and Brava said technically I could have started with Wide-Medium but I didn't want to outgrow them and have to buy the next size so they sent me Wide-Large. I have just started my 10th week of second cycle (only using sportbox - no extra suction) and I don't think I'll outgrow this size. That is fine with me - I've read that Wide-XL are huge. Even when I wear long hours (more than 14), my swelling is not much larger than wearing 10 - 12 hours but with the longer hours my nipples are just horribly engorged looking and lumpy. With the Wide-Large I usually measure 37" across nipples when removing the domes.

am I doing this right?
February 16 2008 at 12:55 PM Michelle (no login)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've been using brava for about 2 1/2 weeks. I do not even come close to filling the wide-medium domes yet. When I take the domes off in the morning, I have noticeable swelling, but it's not crazy swelling. and it even seems to be less than I got last week. I bought the brava off ebay, so I can't check my progress with brava. I know it's only been 2 weeks and I am willing to be patient - I just want to make sure I am on the right track. I guess this means I am definitely a slow responder? Thanks.

If you are getting noticeable swelling then you probably are doing everything right, I didn't get big swelling for about 7 weeks then suddenly DD, by then end of 7 months I was getting DD swelling in about an hour! It akes a while for the skin to stretch and also as you get further in the course you're seeing growth + swelling = massive boobs! Perseverence is the key so stick with it, more hours the better, also try an airlock for stronger suction - there's loads of previous posts on how to make one (buying one is a total rip off as you can buy the fish tank tubes and valve for about £2 and put it together yourself in a few mins).

Let me know if you can't find the airlock posts and I'll look them up for you.

How much swelling do you get?
June 9 2007 at 9:43 AM Louise (no login)

There are posts talking about various dome sizes but was just wondering what this actually looks like, e.g. what cup size were people before they used brava and what cup size are they now while swollen (the swelling sounds quite good to me!!!) and how long it lasts after you take the brava off?

Any links to buy brava from brava? (+ how do you know which dome size you need?)

I'd say the swelling is about a cup size and it goes down gradually. For me it takes around 6 to 7 hours before it's gone completely.

Here is the estimator http://www.brava.com/dome-size-estimator.asp

As for swelling i started as a 38A I wear a 38D or 40C Somtimes a 40DD using the little silicone inserts (evil grin) during the day now. 170 days 2485 hours of wear 14.6 hours per day average on 4 sets of domes so far.

I am selling two sets of domes if you wish to send me an email make me an offer vanth64 (at) yahoo(dot)com. both are extra large the biggest brava sells. one set is narrow the other is wide. The wide ones are also a bit deeper.

Comes complete with tubing new airlock manual suction. Smartbox with new rechargables charging base/modem drying racks and boxes for both sets and some filters so you don't plug up the smart box.

Good luck

I just finished an 11-week cycle without missing any days. My swelling after removing the system was the same from day 1 through the end of the 11 weeks except that it would stay slightly longer throughout the day as the weeks went on but most would be gone after about 10 hours. I was a small 34B but would be a full 34C after removing the domes. You gradually "deflate" throughout the day so whatever bra you start with in the morning will be probably gap later in the day. I've been done for 3 days now and I seem to be about a full 34B. Measured 33.5"-34" when I started, 37" when first taking off domes, and am about 35" now. I am not much larger - just mostly filled out and not as droopy which is great for me because after nursing two children my breasts were pretty sad looking. I am happy with the results though and plan on starting another cycle in January. I found that the "footprints" left by the domes last a good portion of the day and I want to enjoy my summer and wear swimsuits, etc. and I have some vacation plans so I don't want the interference for a second cycle right now. Sleeping at night is hard 1st week, missed cuddle time with my husband. I would not recommend this to women with infants or toddlers because it would be very difficult to pick them up or hold them with the domes on. The domes are much larger than you anticipate and you definitely would not want to wear them outside your home. Good luck!

Thanks, that sounds pretty good, I'm about 31-32 now with underbust 28 so if I could just get up to a full 33......that's what I am in a padded bra! And the more swelling the better!

When does swelling start??
February 17 2007 at 10:25 AM jenny (Login jenny222)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone

I've just bought the Brava system and have been wearing it for two days. The suction is great (so good - it's sometimes hard to get off!) but as yet I have had no swelling at all. When I take it off after approx 12 hrs I've got deep red lines all around my boobs but no visible swelling. Is this right and does it take a week or so to kick in. I'm only 5ft 4 and quite tiny so no doubt I'll be a slow responder even though I've breast fed two children.

Your thoughts and advice would be very much appreciated.
Cheers - Jenny

Hi there,

I have not had any children (I'm only 20) but I am only 5ft (yes Im petite!) and weigh only 7st so I thought I would be a slow responder. I started off as a small 34B (I still am once the swelling goes down, maybe just a fuller 34B). I wore the Brava system for 11 hours on my first night (they recommend only wearing for 11hours during your first week, although I dont think it makes a big difference) and had a lot of swelling in the morning - up to a 34C/D which really surprised me as I didnt expect it! Maybe you are just a slow responder - have you had a good read at the Brava instruction manual? They say that actual tissue growth only starts in weeks 12-15 so maybe you will not see much growth until then. I would recommend that you wear the system for as long as you possibly can as each additional hour makes such a big difference to the size you are when you take it off.

I hope that is of some help to you, any questions feel free to ask!

Nicole

You said that your Brava user guide said growth starts at week 12-15? but i remember mine said it starts at week 6-8, maybe they just realized 6-8 weeks are not realistic at all and changed the number.

To a degree yes but it does settle down eventually.

I started as an almost A cup. If i wear the system for over 30 hours consecutivly i have attained a small DD It last for about 3-5 hours then goes down to a D after about 12-14 hours down to a C. With just a normal 14-16 hour session i see a small D to a D. then back down to my C. So after 4105 hours wearing the system total i have probably attained a full B to a C cup. so from starting with hardly nothing i consider that a very nice result. Of course i won't know till i finish with the full session and as of midnight sept 16 i have 1373 more hours to go to attain my goal. Then i will take a month or two off and see where i am.

I will however keep a set of domes so i can get that boost from time to time. I like the morning swelling.

i hate the morning swellingSmile lol they are toooo big for me i'm very slim 114 lbs at 5'8" and with a small D i look like a porn star. after about 3 hours i go down to a C cup and that is just perfect. anyway i guess it's the same for me. do u remember the growth u had at week 17?

what sucks for me is that i do what i do and once every 2 weeks i lose seal over night. last night i think i did it myself. i think i wanted to suck some air out but fell back asleep while doing it and didn't get to connect the smartbox back. or i connected it but not well. funny but sad. i can have an ideea about how many hours i had no seal by the morning swelling and i don't think i can say i went back a whole week but it still sucks. how do u manage to keep ur seal all the time?

I didn't get D cup swelling till about week 7 but can now get to about full DD or even E with maybe 20 hours wear. I wore it constantly for almost 5 days and didn't get further swelling just a rash so I guess thats my lot! I'm a D for about 4 hours, then maybe C for another 4-6. Decent 34B, small 32C at end of day. Left Brava off for about 36 hours while travelling and up 0.75 inches from starting so hope this shows something is happening. (This is week 11). I'm nearly halfway through what I intended to do as 1 session so if I can get 1.5 inches over 6 months I think that's a fair result. Less than 0.5 and I will not be a happy bunny! Good luck girls.

lately i've been taking longer beaks. at least 10 hours a day constantly. so i achive my minimum point before i put them on. and those are the conditions for my question. if i leave it off for only a few hours and i still have good swelling when i put it on, i swell more and more too. but that's hard to do. still, even if i'm fully deflated Smile, i notice i swell up really fast. only wish i could sleep more peacefully and not roll in bed a lot and lose suction. noticed that i always keep that extra 1.5cm and that's good. hope to get more in time and that it's permanent growth.

i hate that i lost my before picture. but i'll still find a good one and in the end post pictures with the permanent result. anyway i intend to stop in spring so it's a long journey for me.

Lexy, you say you move around a lot in bed, I use 4 pillows behind me and two at one side and a big teddy bear at the other to squash me into position - it's really comfy and there's no room to move! I only use airlock with no alarm and have not lost suction once over night. (Sucking it on tight helps too)

How long before swelling stays??
June 21 2009 at 9:40 PM Kristin (Login napahills)

Hi--I'm new to the forum...but have been lurking. I'm on a mission to grow these things. I'm a AA cup. I'm currently using Brava...have been for 3 weeks now. I do get good swelling, but it disappears within 4 hours.
I recently started noogling too...this week. I noogle for an hour a day with the brava domes, and then wear Brava for 12 hours at night. Obsessed much?? I guess we all are a little bit Smile
Anyway, I'd like to have some clue as to when the swelling sticks around with Brava....and with noogle separately?
Thanks Smile

Good luck with your mission.

For me the swelling increased gradually, and the time it took for the swelling to go down also increased slowly and gradually. After five weeks of using brava I was retaining about half an inch at the end of the day, after 12 hours with the domes off. It has continued to de-swell more slowly over time, and the end of day retention has also continued to increase continuously. Some people talk about having sort of jumps in the retention of swelling; but for me it has been very gradual the whole time. I am currently finishing up about 17 weeks, and have increased from zero boobs to somewhere between a small/medium 34A or 36A, depending upon the bra.

trigger
(Login tr1gger) Re: How long before swelling stays?? June 23 2009, 3:48 PM

Well, my boobs are always double or triple the size in the mornings, than they end up being at night. So there's still (I'm at about ten weeks) shrinkage, and it always seems like more due to the enormous swelling in the mornings. Last time I checked a couple of weeks ago, I was retaining one and a half inches above my original size after a lengthy time with the domes off. Which means not a huge amount of real growth, if I take into account even more loss of swelling, in the week following cessation of wearing. I don't think you ever get to a point where you retain the morning swelling....that's just what it is, swelling, not growth. Therefore, when the swelling goes, you get a better idea of what the real growth is, and this happens very very slowly. The growth is what I'm after. I'm doing my best not to get too attached to the swelling.

Rox3
(no login) Re: How long before swelling stays?? June 23 2009, 10:37 PM

For me, having had 3 kids and breastfed and being a 34A bra size, I retained a 1/2 inch of swelling at 7 weeks using Brava and a full inch of swelling after 13 weeks. I would only swell up one inch after 11 hours with the domes on. I never had HUGE swelling but an inch was nice. I ended up with 1.5 inches total growth after 18 weeks and then lost a 1/2 inch so I retained to this day 1 inch of growth permanently (measured 34" around breasts and now am at 35").

Does swelling increase weekly?
June 4 2007 at 8:21 PM biggerbust (no login)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi again, I posted earlier, but got my questions answered by a Brava coach. I am getting great swelling in my first week although I'm just now working up to the full 10 hours. Do you get more swelling with continued wear, or is it dependent upon the number of consecutive hours of wear? I probably won't be able to get in more than 10 hours except on weekends. So, can I expect more swelling as weeks pass or only if I get in more hours? I am at the point where I can't wait to get out the domes each time and see what I have! Of course, I'm wanting more ASAP! Please share your experiences.

You do get more swelling from week to week basis and if you do longer hrs. good luck.

You do get more as you progress with longer wear times per day and the accumulation of days. However I would recommend if you can do it a 14+ hour session and if you touch the domes or are really close give brava a call and get the next size up within 2 weeks of recieving the set. If you don't you will touch the inside and not get as much out of the system as you could have.

good luck
