I am a 55 year old female, 16 months into menopause. Over the last year I’ve lost 39 pounds and that combined with menopause my breasts looked so much smaller and I lost a ton of volume. I found Pueraria Mirifica on Amazon, 2000 mg dosage. I took them for a little over a month and began to bleed pretty heavily. I went to my gyno and she put me on medication to stop the bleeding. Definitely am not taking them anymore, which is disappointing because they definitely increased the fullness in my breasts. Now considering hormone replacement.

I'm sorry to hear that PM didn't work out for you, although 2000mg is rather a high dose.

Pueraria mirifica often has this kind of effect at a high dosage. I know it's easy to be wise with the benefit of hindsight, but starting with 500mg is often a good idea, to see how you respond on that level of intake. However, some people don't get on with pueraria mirifica full stop, regardless of the dosage. It's not for everyone.

I found that product on Amazon. I see that the capsules are 1000g. As someone said above, it's easy to be wise with the benefit of hindsight, but taking one capsule rather than two would have been a better way to start. For some people 2000g is definitely too high.
I think there's a problem with the way that pueraria is sold, because most sellers just don't tell you that you can experience serious adverse effects. They seem to think that because it's a natural product it's not necessary to caution people or advise them to be careful.

Yes, agreed, there's definitely a problem with the way that pueraria is sold. I think many of the capsules are too big and the recommended doses are too high. It's not unusual for women to have adverse effects at high doses and yet this is never explained. I think a lot of these products are reckless regarding the amount they encourage people to take.
