PCOS and endometriosis

#1

I remember someone writing about having painful and infrequent periods. Also, there was mention of abnormally high androgens, and low estrogen levels. This is associated with PCOS, insulin insensitivity and anovulation. It is uncertain if progesterone insensitivity is associated with this, but it is associated with lack of progesterone. Lack of aromatase (estrogen conversion), and excessive LH and androgens are possibly an issue for that specific case.

These two are good reads that are fairly up to date on PCOS and Endometriosis:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3902220/ The elusive and controversial roles of estrogen and progesterone receptors in human endometriosis
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3917599/ Endometrial progesterone resistance and PCOS

Endometriosis is associated with high estrogen levels. Issues involved with this were excess estrogen, and/or progesterone insensitivity.

Both PCOS and Endometriosis were affiliated with (primarily a different) receptor insensitivity.

Vitamin C, healthy fats and exercise are helpful in cases of hormone insensitivities and some of these can be helpful for androgen excesses. Prolactin increase should help, but in cases of progesterone insensitivity, that is questionable. Just don't overdo herbs. Also to note, not all lactogenic (breast feeding) herbs increase prolactin.

Chuchuhuasi can only help with symptoms, similar to aspirin's purpose. But take the word of your local medical health professional over this.
