Eat Your Seeds

#1

I've always known that whole grain and other seed nutrients (including those from nuts and beans) are critical to normal development including breast and all other development. And to other body activities and signalers (including sexual hormones, mood and metabolic chemicals). Decades of research went into the food pyramid and similar recommendations, with the largest group being whole grains at the bottom.

Yet we hear a couple poorly conducted studies and some media hype and the whole thing gets flipped upside-down with everyone flocking to low carb diets. Truth is, Atkins rates a big fat meh compared to other calorie restriction diets, with the results probably coming from people having a hard time finding acceptable foods to eat more than anything. Then eventually it crashes like most other diets. It probably only came about because meat and dairy are a couple of the biggest TV sponsors.

Likewise for concerns such as diabetes and weight loss these nutrients are essential. Every study I found on a low glycemic index diet actually refers to replacing refined grains with whole grains most of all, replacing candy with fruit, and to a limited extent eating more veggies. Switching to "lower glycemic" versions of the same foods. NOT with dropping carbs altogether and eating proteins. In fact meat showed no benefit whatsoever in these studies, and red meat had a negative effect on conditions such as diabetes.

Anyway I bring this up not only because it's rational, but also because there have been a lot of NBE success stories lately from eating seeds. I believe this is particularly important to those who are underdeveloped, as it is the most likely cause. It is also important to those who want to make major progress, because even if you are not underdeveloped that much development can be taxing without the essential resources.

I have also read of one lady whom I forget eating lots of parsley and did well, which is high in nutrients normally limited to grains. Other similar veggies include spinach, broccoli and cilantro. Spinach is the best. Kale is BS with little of these nutrients. Wheat grass too. "Superfoods" in general tend to pale behind the classics, and I'm not sure exactly why there is all this hype for weird foods except perhaps that they're exotic.

Note that dry seeds are difficult to digest. They should be sprouted or cooked. Sprouting can be done by soaking in water and draining. Then they may be consumed or further sprouted by keeping moist with frequent rinsing, a damp paper towel or etc. Cooking should be limited to avoid nutrient destruction, and *no* cooking water should be discarded. Fresh green seeds are nice too and are fine raw or gently cooked. Indigestion comes from a chemical preserving the seed against enzymes until it is ready to grow, hence why live green and sprouted seeds are fine.

Oops I noticed the first 3 links match. Must be a copy paste error. Darn. I didn't save the original. That's frustrating.

I found this one again: http://www.breastnexus.com/showthread.php?tid=21160&page=4
Post 37.

I don't remember what the other missing one was and there were more that I never found. But basically they all say seeds or nuts or grains.
