Does PCOS always mean estrogen dominance? Help me understand my hormone test results!

Hello,

I have been diagnosed with PCOS lately. However, I feel that my estrogen and progesterone levels are normal. Here is my hormone test results

Progesterone - 0.20 ng/mL
Estradiol(E2) - 38.31 pg/mL

Tests were taken during the 3rd day of my cycle and hence these values seem to be normal for the follicular phase.

Now, what form of NBE should I follow? Am I estrogen dominant? How do I figure out if I am estrogen dominant?

My doctor has prescribed Ginette 35 for my PCOS. I am clueless about my NBE journey now. Please help.

If your doctor has prescribed you Ginette 35 is because your androgens level are very high. (you didn´t mention that)
Those pills contain a combination of a synthetic estrogen, and a derivative of progestogen (synthetic too) and is also an antiandrogen.

Regarding the balance between estrogen and progesterone, usually women with pcos has low progesterone.

Good luck.
