I don't know if anyone has taken a look at friends and family's dark brown eyes and noticed the many different shades of dark brown, my sisters have dark brown eyes that are very light under bright light and brown outside, my best friend has very opaque brown eyes outside and inside, my eyes were black brown in every light and outside.
I've noticed in particular my best friends eyes which are opaque ( glassy brown) would have light eyes within around 4-6 months.
However I've come to the realisation that mine will take at least 1 and half or more years to change. Just because of my shade of black brown, I've been doing this 4 months and they are no longer black brown, they are now chocolate brown and since I've changed to JARRAH HONEY I'm so shocked at how opaque/glassy they've become, I looked at my eyes on the train ( always do but always looks dark brown) and I couldn't believe the change.
I also never refrigerate and I removed chamomile since changing honey because as far as I can see with this experiment through research anyone who is successful sticks to just distilled water/ plain water and straight honey.
I also agree with Emily when she says this has nothing to do with genetics it's to do with melanin, if someone says that theyre going to lighten their skin your not going to say to him/her that It won't work unless their background is full of light people because it has nothing to do with that, it's all to do with melanin and I've got an ample amount to get through looking at other peoples brown eyes so I know it will take a while but I love the change already.
