How to Lighten Your Eye Color Naturally

(03-04-2013, 10:21 AM)Kins Wrote:  Hi everyone!

Not been on the site in a while but decided to try again with NBE and seen this fantastic post!!! Wow!!!

I really want to give this a try... Has anyone tried manuka honey? Does the solution hurt your eyes when you put it in?

From what I gathered the solution is one part honey, two parts water and a few drops of lemon.. Is this the desired solution.

I'm sooo excited about this. I have blue eyes but my son has the most incredible baby blue eyes. I would love them!!! Smile

I'm using Manuka honey. I do 1:1 honey to distilled water.
With my most recent batch, I also put a bit of chamomile tea.

Yes, it does burn but the burn means it's working Tongue

I wear contacts (vision correction) so I use the drops when not wearing them (morning and evenings.) If you don't wear contacts you can put drops in once an hour.

I've been doing this for about two weeks and I think I see a bit of lightening. I'm white and am starting with hazel eyes (medium brown near the pupil and emerald green around the outside.) Now, the brown seems more rusty color and the green seems deeper, more defined. But this might be wishful thing since I just started.

Patience is the key, it could take months or even a year or two to see desired lightening.

Hi y'all.
Have any of you lightening your eyes with honey, noticed an improvement in the length and thickness of your eyelashes?
Definitely considering honey for eyelashes!

Ok... Let me just get to the point. First and foremost this site/blog is awesome! I love reading the stuff everyone on here has to say especially Loretta's stuff! Well yea I'm a male with very dark brown eyes (almost black) I have seen people talk about genetics and honestly that's all bullsh*t. I read from various sources that EVERYONE (yes that means you too!) has blue eyes. The problem is that us dark brown people have extra melanin in the front of the iris as opposed to the light eyed people which have close to or no melanin production in the front. So in conclusion genetics do NOT have anything to do with this at all. All we have to do is inhibit the melanin production on the front of the iris and VIOLA light eyes. My assumption is that if you keep doing the honey solution thing you CAN get to your desired color (ie: very dark brown to hazel-green) if you are consistent with it. Please correct me if I'm wrong but I doubt I am since honey is supposed to inhibit the melanin production.

Now, I have some questions for anybody who has lightened there eyes SUBSTANSTIALY. How has it been going for you after you quit? Has it darkened a bit or has it gotten back to normal or have the results stayed? Any loss or improvement of vision (I ask because people talk about hydrogen peroxide can damage the eyes and they don't want to go bling & blah blah) so can somebody knowledgable touch on this subject and show some clarity on this? Any problems what do ever? Last couple things here (hopefully Emily Loretta can answer this one) I heard that honey cannot penetrate the eye enough to actually lighten the eyes & I also heard that if you go out in the sun your eyes will be restored to its normal color. If this is true then how come people with lighter eyes (Blue, green, gray etc.) have not had this effect ?

PS: I would live if somebody would jump in and explain the whole anatomy of this. Like how honey brightens the eyes and stuff because it is very confusing when people say stuff like "it can only make it light brown if you have very dark brown eyes" I mean if this is so then this would mean either 1: you can only inhibit melanin production to a certain extent (WHICH I HIGHLY DOUBT) and 2: you are just bleaching the eye which makes no sense at all really. So please SOMEBODY COME TO THE RESCUE. I believe we can all change our eye color from nearly pitch black to green if we really wanted to because come on.. It's common sense we are inhibiting melanin production here THUS bringing out our true color. I saw a pic of a person go from dark brown to hazel on this specific entry. But yea I'm curious to see Emily's eyes in a photo? Or anybody else that has seen a gradual change? All of these back links to blogs have been deleted and the Isis website too their pics down.. Wtf is that about? Anyways, thanks in advance!

Thanks for response blue footed booby Smile

This doesn't damage eyes at all does it or make it sun sensitive? Just seen a few negative reactions while researching online, in doing this process. My eyes are naturally blue but would like them lighter if possible Smile

My eyes are very odd anyway, they seem to be a mix of blue/green and brown. Infant, one eye is nearly brown and the other blue. Would be nice to have matching eyes!!!

It doesn't matter because everyone and their n.mother can get in on laser. Its coming out and you won't have to wait a year or more. This laser turns black eyed folks blue in a matter of 30 seconds!

So just to confirm, manuka honey is supposed to be the best for eye lightening? What are those 10+, 15+ numbers on the jar? What do they mean?

Hi Kins, your eyes sound nice! I like multi-coloured eyes. I suggest just using the drops in the browner eye so it can 'catch up' to the other.

I'm not an expert, only used google to research honey lightening, but from what I've found honey has been used in the eyes for soothing purposes for ages.

But trying to lighten / alter your eye colour is at your own risk.
I have decided to take the risk, but others may decide not to.

It may make your eyes more sensitive to light and, anyways, you're supposed to wear sunglasses when outdoors as the sun could re-darken your honey-lightened eyes.

I just got some pure MSM flakes and made some drops (30% MSM / 70% distilled water.) Used for 2 or 3 days so far. MSM is supposed to help lighten too - perhaps speeding up the process- if used before the honey drops. Some use MSM drops then wait either 5 or 30 min, then use honey drops. MSM has also been used in the eye without ill effects (that I've heard of.) But make sure it is pure MSM, no additives at all!

I'll let you all know if this works!

Does it even matter whether you use the laser or not? Your doing the SAME THING which is inhibiting melanin production. Yes one may take more time but I'm okay with that. Come on guys I asked some Great question and I hope I get some answers. Also, I hate it when people promise to keep updating with pics of their progress but then go ghost on everybody =\ anybody have any answers or update pics? I know about the laser and don't care for it simply because I don't want blue eyes.. I want to go from dark brown to maybe very light brown or hazel.. Maybe even a bit green but I'd settle for light brown or hazel. We need to jump start this forum again and keep it going! I wouldn't want it to die out =\

Agreed...

My eyes have NOT gone back to where they were before, I live in the Caribbean and it has not had any affect on my eye color to make it go back black, and no I don't wear shades. I wear glasses but no, no vision loss or impairment.

Honey can penetrate the eyes, but it's the hydrogen peroxide that's really doing the lightening. And yes it can penetrate the iris membrane.

I think the first couple of pages of this huge thread goes over this. It's in here somewhere, the question has been asked repeatedly.

I believe we can all change our eye color from nearly pitch black to green if we really wanted to because come on.. I broke my phone practically within a month of getting to my destination and they only have those crappy 90's phone here to eek. So I can't update. I also ordered some Kojic Acid to start using, in small amounts to lighten the eyes. I've researched into it and so far it's safe for eye use, but I still need to try it out.

Others update periodically, and their eyes our lighter and lighter each time.
