Full Version: new and not really sure where to start

Hi, I'm new here, I've been browsing different threads for a while and decided to actually join and start! Over the past year the way my breasts look and feel has completely changed. There is almost no volume at the top of them, and they are starting to droop somewhat (the bottom is touching my abdomen and was not before). When I look at them from the front they look almost deflated, and from the side they look somewhat like a ski slope. It seems that a lot of my breast tissue has moved downwards. Before this change I had very perky, round and full medium/small sized breasts (34B) and I was happy with them! They were springy to the touch before and now are kind of floppy. The way they look has been bothering me for a while and this is the first place I've found that offers a solution. I'm not sure exactly what caused this, I have had some weight fluctuation and have also been under a lot of stress so I'm not sure if that could have affected my hormones (I just turned 17 by the way.) I don't think I should look into herbal solutions because I could still be developing and wouldn't want to interfere with that. I also don't exactly have a lot of money to spend on this, since I'm in high school and my parents are not going to give me money for anything. From the little I know, I'm guessing massage would be my best option? Would this be able to restore the shape and lift that I had before? How exactly do you perform a breast massage for growth/firming/lift/fullness? I've also heard that hops are able to help breasts, but I'm not really sure how that works. Fixing this would be a huge boost in my confidence, it is the only thing about my body that I really dislike, but because I've thought of it as "unfixable" I've fixated on other parts of my body and made myself unhappy in general. Even wearing push up bras doesn't really help because the volume/fullness of my actual breast is just not there. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to hearing from you!

I collected a lot on hops in my program thread, but it is indeed better to see where your body takes you first. Massage is best for now, and don't underestimate the effect of diet. When you're up to it, post your stats here, so people can help you think.

Unless "weight fluctuations" means real weight loss, there's something funny in your story: at age 17, your body should cooperate, really. So stats and diet, those should give the really experienced people around here an idea.
About weight, I've moved around between ~117 and 130 pounds over the past two years (not sure if that counts as significant weight loss/gain). I feel like I shouldn't have problems with this at my age, and I'm as confused by it as you are!

The supplements I take are fish oil omega-3, cod liver oil, stress b-complex, and a teen multivitamin. I drink about 64 oz water a day, and my diet is fairly good. I don't eat any processed foods and only organic produce. I eat almost only whole grains. If I eat red meat, it is organic and grass-fed; chicken organic and pastured; and fish wild. I usually eat an animal source of protein once a day. The milk I drink and yogurt I eat is organic and from grass-fed cows (I've read that consuming dairy from cows that are fed corn and/or soy, even if organic is a bad health choice). I don't snack, I usually eat three meals a day, sometimes two, according to my appetite. I always eat a serving of fruit with breakfast and lunch, and a serving of vegetables with lunch and dinner. Since I've changed my diet to the above I've lost weight and my body shape has changed, but not my breasts! I exercise every day; I usually go for a walk for at least an hour and sometimes run or do a spin class. I also do a Jane Fonda exercise tape on YouTube every day and spend 20 minutes stretching afterwards. When I remember, I do a yoga video on Youtube in the morning when I wake up. Let me know if there's any other information that would be helpful.

That is more than enough for a start. Let me complement you for your figure and your lifestyle. Really beautiful. So please don't take what follows as criticism. Most importantly, don't let it throw you off balance. Just consider the paragraphs one by one, as food for thought.

The really obvious one is the fish oil. The cod liver oil is OK:

Check the doses on your b-complex and multi, as percentages of recommended dietary allowance. Consider alternating them. Take enough B12 > 50 mcg, B6, and zinc 13-35 mg each day. Also check your dietary intake using NIH fact sheets, like this:

The second one should show you the value of spinach, asparagus, broccoli, avocado, and lettuce.

Your weight is OK, but you cannot expect much at a BMI under 21. Real boobage starts at 23. Your exercise regimen burns too much fat.

You could lower fruit and even whole grains to increase meat and dark green leafy vegetables -see the list above. Both lled34aa and I felt the need to chill on the fruit:

but I'd consider the above thoughts first, before you change one of your really healthy habits. I feel the fish oil should be enough.

Have you tried using inserts in your bras?
