question about vitex

Hi
I wonder if anybody can answer this. When I have used vitex for 8 months and stop will the progesterone level continue to stay on a high level or will it turn back to normal?

Hi Linn,
I wish I could answer that conclusively. However, there are many variables.
If you have an ongoing condition that makes it difficult for your body to produce progesterone then the effects of vitex will wear off.
If you have an imbalance condition that resolves from the use of vitex then you will likely continue to produce enough progesterone after you stop vitex.
I don't know how you would find this out except for doing the vitex for 8 months and then stopping. If your symptoms recur then you know the problem is an ongoing one.

Thank's a lot for your answer waxingmoon! You are always such a big help for me. It will be interseting to see how my cycle will be after vitex. I am still struggeling to get growth. I got problems with thyroidea very easily and now I will start progesterone cream with some estrogenic herbs I think..
