hi i was wondering if you have to take a break from herbs every 3 months, for one month and start again? im doing this through another program so im not sure if taking a break is included with all BE programs?...
im 5 weeks into it now, i havent experienced any growth pains just the pain of extra fluids in the breast tissue. i hope it does not wash away again with up coming period. overall i am enjoying my herbs, though i have been more emotionally erratic and mad.Sad cheers!

Hi im on wonderup and dont plan on taking a break i think keeping the same routine is good. I think i would only take a break if i was on herbs for a long time, i dont really consider 3 months to be long at all.The choice is yours of course Smile

I am also on a program as well.I plan on taking mine straight trough for 1 year, possibly 18 months.I personally believe consistency is key.You have to give herbs time to do their work.Eve didn't take a break. She was on her program for 18 months I think. You can always add an herb that keeps your liver clean.Just do some research on it.Good luck on your journey. It is perfectly normal to go from hysterical to angry to insane. You are creating more hormones through NBE.

I have read advice from herbalists saying that if you are going to be taking herbs long-term, it is important to take breaks. I'll see if I can find the information on that.

I took a break from my herbs for about 2 weeks after about 5 months of consistent herb-taking. When I started back up, that's when I got my growth.

I found some information on the topic. It's a different source from where I read it originally which leads me to believe that this idea is common:

"It is best to “pulse” your remedies – to take breaks when using remedies over the long term. The body and mind like variety. Prolonged use of an herb can gradually lower its effectiveness; its effects are strengthened after a break. Sometime we need to change up the remedies as we heal or move into new seasons."

If one takes a break, then when do you recommend doing so? I'm thinking a short break (1-2 weeks) after the 3 month recommendation on WU. is that advisable than again that might be too soon. It might be better to stay consistent.

its best to take a full month off with your cycle as not to throw your hormones out of balance. have a break off everything until the next period starts. while off the tablets take milk thistle which will cleanse the liver of excess estrogens and old hormones that may be blocking your receptors for new growth, some women report growth in their breaks. because the body doesnt want to work if it doesnt have to, we are asking our bodies to develop and that takes alot of work for the cells to do this. in one more cycle time i will take a month off and do milk thistle for 2 weeks in the luteal phase and That period will mark the next 3 cycles i will follow on program. Down regulation has to be avoided by taking breaks to restart the growth again. your basically re growing and re growing every break you take. best luckSmile
