smoking and NBE?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

but do any of you ladies smoke? are you having a difficult time achieving results or are you achieving satisfying results?

i'm an on/off smoker. when i first started NBE, almost a year ago, I feel like I was getting much better results than i have been lately (when i started smoking again). but then again i've made adjustments to my program several times, i get slack on massages, ect.

and another question is - how does smoking affect NBE, anyway?

i haven't really been in the mood to quit. i do enjoy smoking. but incentive for larger breasts might be a good reason to think about it!

Hi Tattoolady,

Anything that negatively effects your health will have a dampening effect on NBE.

Specifically with smoking there is a reduction of vitamin C for the body. I have heard it explained you dump something like 30 - 50 mg of vitamin C with each cigarette. Vitamin C is essential in the formation of collagen which is necessary for tissue growth. Vitamin C is also essential for protein production which is necessary for producing hormones.

Also, smoking reduces tissue oxygenation. With lower oxygen supplies every cell in your body has a lower amount of cellular energy. That means the cells are not as able to do the jobs they are supposed to do. Any surgeon will tell his patient that smoking is likely to negatively effect tissue healing. This includes tissue growth for any reason.

You seem to feel you are getting a negative response and I bet you are correct in this. If you want to improve your NBE, the stop the smoking.

Best wishes,
waxingmoon

I used to smoke quite often. i have been doing nbe for over 2 years now with no results. however, i recently quit smoking in may and i think they are growing. HOWEVER, i have also switched from capsules to liquid extracts, so i cant know for sure if it was the smoking or the switch that helped.

i think it also reduces circulation which is bad for NBE.

Hey Tattoo,, Smoking greatly impairs your hormones ability to function properly because of the many many chemicals used to process the tabbaco. Plus as with caffine and alcohol it smoking severely dehydrates your body. If you smoke your suppose double your intake of daily requirements of water,,, making that 16 glasses of water instead of 8. So ya,, smoking can very well screw up NBE efforts,, I know because I also struggle with this one. So good luck and hope that gives you a clearer answer as to why its not good for NBE.

thank you waxingmoon! and also mrsjim Smile

yeah. i've switched up my routine a little bit here and there. i have "primary" and "secondary" NBE , primary being fenugreek, hops, fennel, and massages. and secondary being gelatin, protein, creams, heat, and occasionally other herbs and teas. so i've never changed my routine too much.
so i guess it's time to buy a chewing gum :c/
i was growing so quickly at first i thought i'd be a D by now. I'd gotten myself into a C. then stressful events happened. i stopped NBE for a few weeks then started again (plus smoking) and stopped getting the same results. i stopped getting any results, really.
dang.

Hey,, don't get down on yourself,,, I have been trying to quit with help from my doctor and she said it is eqivelent to being a herion or coccaine addict,, thats how additive it is. Makes one wonder how it can be sold legally, but it is a huge tax revenue for government, or ours anyway. So just try and greatly cut back and hopefully manage to quit. Good luck!

I am a smoker as well.I have had good results, though.Could they be faster without smoking? Possibly or possibly not.Know one can say for sure.I do have a very high metabolism,so that may be why I don't feel as bad as some smokers do that have smoked as long as I have.I do not grasp for breath.Doctors say that smoking decreases oxygen intake and causes circulatory problems.I do take 1000 mg Vit C daily.I have done this for years.A co-worker told me about this helping the immune system with sinuses, allergies, and colds.I have not had near as many colds as I used to get.I also take cayenne pepper caps with my herbs now,and this has really seemed to help with my circulation as well as the absorption of herbs.
It could also possibly be that you are stressing over it and thinking negatively about it,and negative thoughts will definitely damper NBE.It is very hard to quit, but don't beat yourself up about it.You have quit before----you can do it again.Don't feel bad.I changed my routine due to funds.I had not meant to take a break, but I have ended up taking a break from it for a week.I still do massages, though.I got my new cream in yesterday,so I got to start trying that out.I did stress over this earlier this week, but today I started getting really strong tingles.I quit worrying about it.I'll just start fresh on Sunday.Maybe you are just in a cycle where you don't have dramatic growth. It happens.Keep positive and good luck!

thank you snowflake and mel c for the encouragement! :c)

i've decided to quit after this pack (er, uhm, for a little while at least). i don't think it helped that i started smoking unfiltered cigarettes as well. i've been drinking a lot of orange juice lately, but other than that i'm not really trying to add yet ANOTHER pill to my routine by adding vitamin C :cp
as soon as i save up enough money i think i'm going to give wonderup a try... i've seen some good progress with it in other girls, millani just to name one.
i think it'll make it easier to stick to my routine. i forget to take doses all the time.
