Hello,

My name is Nia I am 32 years old. I am a 32A and am uncomfortable with being small. My main problem is the fact that I am very short and petite and also have a very young looking baby face. I never used to have a problem with my chest until I started working in a hospital and the patients started making comments such as 'OH my god, what are you TWELVE???' That is one of the nicer comments I get, people are horrible.
These types of comments daily from complete strangers really knocked my confidence and got me thinking that my body must look really child-like or something - although my husband assures me it doesn't and he thinks I am beautiful and womanly just the way I am.
I thought about having a boob job and discussed it with all seriousness with my husband but fake breasts are not what I want and I doubt I would be happy with them even if I go it done as I know they wouldn't be mine.
The thing is I HAVE had bigger boobs in the past, about four years ago I put on about five pounds and went up to a c - cup and LOVED it. The problem is, as I'm so short any weight gain shows up on me immediately and then I hate the way the rest of my body looks. One of the reasons I gained the weight that I was given a different hormone by my endocrinologist and that is what caused the weight gain and subsequent c's. As soon as the initial side effects wore off I lost the weight and went back down to my previous size.

I have always thought that my lack of chest is down to the fact that I replace most of my hormones due to hypopituitarism. I don't produce thyroxine, adrenalin, growth hormone, estrogen or progesterone - or if I do only very tiny amounts. I have spoken to my endocrinologist about it at length and he has basically said that my hormones are mostly balanced so my boob size is just down to body chemistry etc.
The only one that is not quite there is my growth hormone, he said they might grow a bit when I get up to the optimal dose with that but that is a very gradual process. I am already taking a huge amount daily and I'm still only baseline in my blood tests.
I have seriously thought about taking a double dose of my estrogen to see if it would make a difference, I know its not recommended but if women who make their own estrogen take a pill or use a patch with the same amount of hormones I'm getting on top of it, then would it REALLY harm me?
Possible, yes. Dosages are determined mainly by your body size - especially weight. What may be safe for a 180 pound woman may not be safe for a 90 pound woman. You have indicated that you are a very small person so normal dosages of medication for you are going to be on the low side. I am a 6 foot 4 inch 300 pound man. My dosages are on the high side. See what I mean? There is a limit to the amount of estrogen you can take. Too much can be fatal. Please be careful.

I know its not a very intelligent thing to do. The last thing I want to do is make myself sick. How would I feel if messing with my hormones put me in the hospital or something?
I do have some experience with that, I ended up in ccu a few years ago after having an Addisonian crisis and nearly died, so I know the effect that hormones can have. I have decided not to do that and am going to try this zoft gum instead. It looks to have worked for a poster named Anastasia. We will see.

Thank you for replying! Smile
I'm chewing Zoft gum as well right now, and so far I really like it. I've gained about an inch in a little over 2 months. I've heard that no one gets past the 2" gain mark, but that's still pretty good! And there are always other options afterwards. Good luck! (:

Well that is encouraging. I would be pretty happy with a full B. I've been chewing it for two days and like the taste. Did you chew all six pieces from the beginning? Did you also avoid caffeine? I don't drink coffee but love my morning cup of tea, I haven't had any for two days and really miss it. I'm British so I'm fairly addicted! Big Grin
Nope, I would (strongly) advise against the 6 pieces all at once because after a month or so your body will get used to the herbs and no more growth will be stimulated. I started with 2 pieces month 1, 3 pieces month 2, I'm now on 4 pieces in month 3. Anatastia is another girl who has had success with Zoft and she chewed 2 pieces month 1/2, 4 pieces month 3/4 and 6 pieces months 5/6. As for caffeine, I was never really a user anyway but I have taken extra steps to avoid it now. However, tea isn't half as bad as coffee and I don't think that one cup will be too detrimental. Perhaps try to find a decaf though?
