Hey all... Just had a few questions! I'm 16, and I only started my period a year ago. So I definitely want to leave my hormones alone at this point. : ) Anyways, I'm just wondering what other options I have. I'm thinking about going with a coco butter/vitamin e massage (w/ heat) and taking gelatin powder... Would this be a safe option for me? Also, how in the heck should I take the gelatin???? Lol! I tried dissolving it in water but it turned the water all goopy and gross. Dodgy

Are there any other nbe methods out there that wont screw up my hormones?

Thanks!
Hi sweety, lucky you you found this forum so young! LOL Wish I found it when I was 16 haha.

Well you are correct, herbs would definitely not be for you. I don't recommend any herbal NBE to anyone under 21 actually because puberty can last into your early 20's and herbs can mess that up. This includes PM (Pueraria Mirifica). Since you have only had your period for a year, your options are limited even more. I would have recommended BO (bovine ovary) but all the research I've done on it suggests you have had your period for 2-3 years. So I would say your options are massage, collagen (tablets or chicken feet soup, as far as I know chicken feet soup doesn't have any phytoestrogens or anything in it), I've never heard of gelatin working for NBE, but I'm sure it won't hurt you, hypnosis is another option, and pumping devices. I personally use a Noogleberry pump and so do many on this forum, that is the one I most recommend.

Massage in ANY NBE program is essential, so that is one thing you must do. Hope this helps and if you have any other questions let us know, there are many ladies here with experience. So you definitely came to the right place.
Hmm.. I had heard of gelatin as a substitue for the chicken feet soup... but I think I'll go with the collagen instead. I assume I could find that at somewhere like Walgreens?

Thanks for the input! : )
