Well, I'm in the process of whipping up some chicken feet stock, and I was wondering: what kinds of soups do you ladies make with it? Have any of you used it in a 'western' soup with success? I love broccoli and cheese soup, and it does call for chicken broth but I'm worried that it might come out terrible.
It sounds like it would just taste like regular chicken broth, but I've never had it before. If it is just like chicken broth, you'd probably be able to use it for a lot of things. Here's a thread I found in the archive that I read a while back about chicken feet soup: Recipe for CHICKEN FEET SOUP.
Yup, that's the recipe I used to prepare the stock. I love to cook, so I'm excited to see all the soups that I'll be able to make and enjoy while being booby friendly!
I enjoyed it mixed with tomato soup. I useda can of condensed tomato soup and add the CF broth in place of water. I like to add chopped up crab meat, tofu, or other things too sometimes.

Can't wait to hear more yummy recipes!
I finally found a way that it tastes great to me just as broth and can use it many ways. This time I boiled it in swanson chicken broth instead of plain water. It took several large cans with two onions and a whole head of garlic. This time it tastes like a really nice chicken broth. I can do lots of things with it now or just drink it all by itself. I'm thinking I may even make up a bunch in advance and freeze it so that I can just pop it in the microwave and use it as a base for sauces and the like. Hope that helps someone.

Oh and I always strain it so that it is just a simple broth that I can use in anyway I would normally use broth or just drink it straight.
