As my breasts grow, I notice a change in the density behind the nipple. Sometimes it's very firm, other times it very soft. Has anyone noticed any of these changes related to growth spurts?
Hi B/Q
I am sorry. I saw your original post and did not get back to it to post a reply. While I am no expert or had the same experience just yet. I would think it was normal. As the avioli (or lobules) grow and branch out into grape like clusters. See diagram link

I would think they would feel hard until they expanded. Or at least that is my thought. I have seen posts about this hard mass before. It should be the beginings of the budding process. I could be wrong. If you are really worried about it. I would go see a doctor. Perhaps some of those that have gone through this process will speak up and help answer the question.
I don't have the mass that everyone refers too (I wish I did), It seems every now and then that the area behind the nipple get REALLY soft, then after a day or so it goes back to being more firm, not hard just firm. Just trying to figure this one out..
Hi there,

I have noticed a definite increase in density from the herbal supplements that I am taking, which is normal to my knowledge-- fenugreek in particular is said to increase the heaviness (and thereby density, I would imagine) of breasts. As for softness, I have also had some of that, but mostly on the skin's surface due to the oils with which I massage. I also think that the tissue underneath is softer and more "open" because I massage regularly twice a day. I can't say that I've noticed a fluctuation in this, though: the density and softness go hand in hand all the time for me.

Hope that helps some!
