Magnetic jewellery, magnetic bracelets, are they for real?

I noticed some ads in this forum for magnetic jewellery and magnetic bracelets. Are these things for real? Would they work the same way as other magnets? Could you wear them instead of other magnets? Surely if they wee magnetic the effect would be the same as any other magnet? Or are they just a gimmick?

I think the adds are a condition, a necessary evil for being able to have a forum, it's not really what this forum recomends. I don't believe those commercial magnetic products work no.

They're supposed to be for arthritis and stuff right? Basically it seems to me the only people who tell you magnets have any effect on anything other than paperclips are people trying to sell you magnets. I wouldn't have believed the NBA book but Kieyah said she had results just leaving magnets in her bra and they were cheap so I bought exactly the same thing because they were so cheap and it can't hurt to have a go. I'm not relying on magnets I use herbs and suction but it takes 2 seconds to put the magnets in a bra so it's not much trouble.

What I think is dangerous is the sites that tell you magnets will cure AIDS and cancer. They may cure a few aches and pains (or may have a placebo effect) but don't think they're going to revolutionise medicine.

Have a look at the Quackwatch website for magnet therapy.

Since you're supposed to put the magnets down your bra, I don't think that wearing magnetic jewellery is likely to help very much! Have fun looking at the ads though, perhaps you'll find that some of those companies have got some relevant information.

I actually just purchased that NBA System, so I will post results in the future. The magnets you are using are not like your refrigerator magnets. I have already been using magnetic therapy (neodymium finger magnets) for a little while now and have had good results. I sleep very well now and don't need as much sleep to function. I am waking up refreshed, without an alarm clock, after about seven hours and have good energy throughout the day. I used to always wake up with a headache that needed to be treated immediately and now I have very mild, if any, headaches at all. Our bodies are made of electrical/magnetic energy and therefore can be stimulated into healing processes, mainly by pulling the flow of blood, if magnetic therpy is used properly. I would agree that most magnetic jewelry being sold is garbage. They're not going to be strong enough to even stimulate much blood flow. You need neo or rare earth magnets to really see some healing take place. Because of my experience thus far with the magnet rings, I'm going to give the NBA system a try. The inventor explains that the magnets kind of 'restimulate' the growth receptors in your breasts which is going to fire up the cells and cause them to grow. He also goes on to explain the reason so many women do not respond to any remedy in the world including herbal pills, dietary programs, and massage is because these breast receptors are 'dead.' They could have been damaged during puberty, and most damage is likely from today's environmental factors along with crappy diets we now consume...processed sugar, white flour, chemically processed table salt, etc. The explanation is very scientific, not just a theory or questionable claim. So we'll see what happens!

That's great Trish, wish you the best with the system.I recently purchased the magnets(have the older version) but am too busy so never tried them on .I also purchased the tape(3 foot) for reduction(waist line) and payed a lot on shipping too.So i really hope it works as he claims.I should start a program with the tape on belly and the magnets on boobs soon.Keep us posted with your results.Best of luckSmile

"The explanation is very scientific, not just a theory or questionable claim."

How can you tell when an explanation is scientific and when it's just a theory? In this case, where is the evidence that demonstrates that the explanation is more than just a theory?

Whether something is scientific or a questionable claim is very often an entirely sujective matter and dependent upon how you look at it. One person's science is very often another person's hocus pocus.

That^ is sortof not true. Science is supposed to be objective and proven, that's actually in its definiteion. Whether or not magnets have been researched and their effects proven and explained is another question. I don't know for sure, but some things at least might have been. But we've never needed a scientific proof in NBE, we all know that there haven't been any studies conducted about herbs' effect on breast growth, but we hear about it working in practical experiences all the time.
