What kind of magnets work?

Would regular magnets from like a craft store work? or do they have to be a specific kind? I have a whole bunch of them which is why I am asking.....Still not sure if I want to try though.......

All this is answered in the information thread. The magnets for NBE have to be really strong, these are neodynium magnets.

Only two people have reported growth and as far as I'm aware they used the same magnets.
Google K&J Magnetics and look up product DA2 - that's what most of us are using.
