Full Version: Does BO increase "bad" estrogen metabolites? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I am wondering if anyone on here could provide good insight as to whether or not Bovine Ovary supplementation (i.e., at a boob growth dosage) would increase "bad" estrogen?  I think I may be a slower estrogen metabolizer. I haven't had any genetic testing, but from my research I learned that certain enzymes are deficient in some people, resulting in a different estrogen metabolism process.  I haven't been able to get clarity on whether supplements like milk thistle or DIM help speed estrogen's removal or if they INCREASE estrogen via phytoestrogenic properties.  ??

Anyway, I'm a 38 old long-time member on here and have always wanted to try a BO program, but I want to also be knowledgeable about what I'm doing and not harm myself.  Hypothetically, what could a "slow E metabolizer" type person take along with BO to minimize negative effects regarding Estrogen?  Any solid info on this topic would be GREATLY appreciated!!!! Heart
Hi there!
I think to understand how your particular body metabolizes E, you'll want to have a panel done and maybe talk to a specialist if you can. Everything is guess work without having the medical evidence. I haven't done a panel but I think I might after I finish this month or 2 on BO to see how it goes. So far, I'm skeptical and would prefer the security of having more knowledge.

For lacking enzymes, this is definitely true and as varied as anything else among women.

As a rule of thumb, I try to eat lots of locally grown leafy greens even before NBE. It's good for so many things and also helpful for NBE, so if you're worried about supplements, maybe see if foods can provide enough DIM. That may also provide a better balancing effect than added supplements.
Good luck!
