Peekaboobs,

I just spent the last few hours going through all 57 pages of the PM thread. It is insane how many women have had delayed periods from PM. Even just from a few doses or using the cream. I think fenugreek and SP seem relatively safe and there is at least some research, but the PM seems like it does more harm than good. I will stay far away from PM until I've reached menopause.

I hope the parsley works for your wife. I gave up with the parsley tea and pills after taking for about 5-6 days. It has strong diuretic properties and all it did for me was make me pee. I am now on the xulane patch (generic brand of ortho evra) and hope it restarts my cycle after the 3 weeks or maybe will get some breakthrough bleeding then I will just take the patch off. Oddly enough, I am having some mild cramping, but I highly doubt I will get my period. This is very frustrating to say the least..I have never had anything like this happen in my life and I feel like I've dabbled with a lot of herbs....
Hi Maggie,

Have you ever tried cycling PM? A lot of women here tend to cycle their PM meaning they only take it for only 15 days and once they're off, they take progesterone cream. Once their period comes back, they continue to take the PM.

This is what I did when I first tried out PM but the first month I was taking it, I noticed a little spotting (my body was getting used to it). I honestly don't take PM anymore because I noticed I don't get results anymore. =/
You unbalanced your hormones by over dosing. Your body should level itself back out but you might need to give it time-- cleanse, don't take any herbs, eat right, drink nothing but water if you can help it.

Miss B,

Do you think maca would help?

I do because maca is an adaptogen but maybe take that after you give your body some time :] I got a friend of mine to take maca and she is very sensitive and it induced her period, so you never know esp if you're very sensitive.

Hi Maggie!

I don't really have much to add on to the fine advice that's already been given, but I did want to add that the body's prime directive is to heal and regenerate, so chances are very good that a little down time will give you the results you're looking for.

As has been suggested, water is good, maca might be helpful, even maybe some dandelion? Clean out that liver. Be gentle with yourself, rest when you need to. The body is a miraculous thing! Big Grin

Be encouraged!

Xo, Soli
Nothing is working for me...The last couple of days I felt some swelling and tenderness in my breasts and thought maybe I was getting close to getting my period then it just completely disappeared again back to the floppy breasts with no volume. I just don't understand... I think the PM put my body in menopause or premature ovarian failure. I am devastated right now... I really don't know what to do.....

I don't think it's as serious as that but just that you knocked your hormones around and your body is senstive. If I were you I make a doctors apt. Sad
Thanks MissB and everyone else for the continued support and advice.

My anxiety level is high and I just keep thinking of the worst case scenario..In 18 years of menstruating, this is the first time I've skipped a period.

I have a doctors appointment Monday. I went to see a Naturopathic Doctor today which is the first time I've ever done this. He had never heard of PM, but suggested doing seed cycling. It's actually an interesting concept, but does take some time and I really just need to get my period now... AngryAngry

A couple of months on PM won't set into menapause unless you were already there and a 31 unlikely unless you had previous issues that you never mentioned. You get PM is useful for menapause! Not the other way around.

STRESS is probably the biggest culprit plus giving your body enough time to washout the phyto estrogen. I believe the half life of under 5 hours so after 35hours most of that PM is out of your system. Then give it 3weeks to reset itself. Might take a big longer.. If you stay stressed and keep your cortisol levels high it will make worse and take that much longer.

Where you on BCP prior to PM. Thinning of hair could be associated with a number of conditions..potentially above avg test.. And all that PM could have effect your androgen levels. Plus, all that PM could have resulted in your body limiting the amount of natural estrogen production via a negative feedback loop. That why starting slowly, prehaps only during follicular phase to start like chiyomilks used to do is ideal.

The deflation could simply be a drop in progestin due to no true cycle so you never went through the luteal swelling...

Sounds to me.. As though estrogen and you are very sensitive.. And you have a lot of swelling as a result of your natural cycle, I'd look at decreasing androgen perhaps.. Increasing progesterone in your luteal phase by checking your temperature and figuring out when you ovulate and the do noggling, a lot of message or even breast slapping whole taking lot of collagen (chicken bone broth with chicken feet included in the broth making ideally from organic boiler chickens).

You do realize most drugs come from plants and herbs have a tonne of oharmaceutical products in them, just usually lower dose then what's synthetically made and dosed by pharmaceuticals. And you went with the strongest of the strong estrogen herbs known and you are surprised that it had an effect.. I am confused by that.. If the plant didn't do anything, then why have when benefitted from it like ?Chiyomilk, male to female transgenders etc. even just tainted hops with fusarium have lead to community's and cattle having significant breast precocious puberty as a result of the estrogen surge that happens.
