Does anyone else have little fat pouches where the breast meets the armpit? I cannot avoid the cups resting on the fat and it really hurts in that area when I pump. I've tried adjusting the cups several different ways but they don't get enough suction to stay on unless they're on the fat. Any solutions, or just a way to make it less painful? Or is it just painful because I'm new to this? It doesn't hurt anywhere else so I don't think I'm pumping too hard.

I'm not sure about the pouches of fat, but I do know that when I first put on the cups they pinched my armpit area painfully. My eyes would water, and I was barely getting suction. It was so bad I had to massage just that area alone for like 10 minutes afterwards and still felt it the next day. Fortunately - I'm one month into using the domes and I don't get so much as a twinge of pain! I think my body got used to it or started pulling the skin in the right direction. Point is, it hurt a LOT when I first started. I completely forgot about how it was until I read this post. It probably will go away in your 2nd or 3rd week if you pump consistently.

Ok, that makes me feel a lot better. I've only been at it for a few days, so I'll just keep at it. I was afraid I was going to have deal with it every single time I pump!
