I definitely think the fat is going to where it needs to go! And maybe I was just a little progesterone deficient. If I don't see much growth during my next cycle with PM, I will probably go back to just taking vitex all month because I got such great results this month!

Aw thank ou for sharing that. Ok yeh well I have a gut healing formula with 2 grams glutamine per serve so il take two servings and 4 grams and see how I go.

Ohhhhh to NOT belch all day long... How wonderful that must be!!! Smile

Ps sounds great vitex worked for you! I have some and fear I'm e Dom too . Maybe time to take it more seriously, tell you what I only took vitex for two-three weeks and my cycle became regular from months of being irregular. Ure onto something.

Best of luck for your programme

I really hope the glutamine works for you ella! For reference, I think I started to notice a change after 2 weeks of taking 5g a day. This time though since my stomach was already better, I noticed a big change in just a few days.

And yes! vitex is really great! I'm really hoping this period cycle comes right on time because then I'll know that my cycle is actually back to normal again.
Last night, my boyfriend grabbed my boob and said "that's like MORE than a handful!"

Glad your BF likes your new boobies
Hey hun. Congrats on your progress so far! Which collagen do you buy? I'm thinking of adding collagen into my program to assist with pumping but when I look online the capsules are 750mg but you are taking 6 grams a day! If I take that much I'll be spending fortune on collagen lol.

I haven't been taking collagen recently, but I want to start again soon. I usually buy this one from amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Neocell-Super-Collagen-6000mg-Vitamin/dp/B00028NGEC/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1456442909&sr=8-1&keywords=collagen

But you do have to take 6 pills to get 6g so each one is 1000mg - just a little more than what you're taking. That's why I haven't been taking them! So many pills in one day lol.
I was taking gelatin which also increases collagen production (I was making jello) but I know that the neocell brand also has a powder form which might be better for you. You can put it in a drink and drink it instead of swallowing down 6 pills a day! lol
I was at the grocery store today and on a whim just decided to buy progesterone cream.
I don't really know why I bought it and I'm probably going to return it lol. I have been pretty against taking PC because I have not had a hormone panel done and I think that it leads to imbalances more often in women than balancing out the hormones. Vitex has been what i have always taken because it does not work directly on progesterone levels in the body.
Buttt yesterday, I was doing some more thinking... I have gotten a lot of growth this month from balancing out my hormones and I wonder if I have been progesterone deficient and that is what is causing my estrogen dominance and adrenal issues.
I have all 7/7 of these symptoms and it just makes sense that my progest levels would be low, but it's so hard to tell because there are so many overlapping symptoms with different hormone imbalances. Dodgy

I might just need to cave and buy a hormone test. I am not going to use the PC right now- I start my period in a few days anyways. I might just see how my period goes and possibly start taking my vitex earlier rather than on day 15 since vitex helps encourage ovulation.

If anyone has thoughts to share please do Smile
I only took PM for three days and am already noticing some hormonal imbalance symptoms so I will stop taking PM and just take vitex for the rest of my cycle. I might even put some progesterone cream on during luteal (but most likely three days MAX - I'm still afraid to use PC).

Also I'm looking into something that will lower estrogen if anyone has any suggestions.

On another note, I have these white spots on my body that come out when I tan. I have been misdiagnosed with tinea versicolor and pityriasis alba in the past. It was neither of those. I did some more of my own research last week and came across PMH - progressive macular hypomelanosis and I am pretty sure that's what it is! So I went to my derm and he actually had never heard of it but looked it up and said it definitely seemed to match up. So now I am taking antibiotics for three months. I hope it does not interfere with my herbs and/or make my stomach issues worse.

Another thing, I started using an aloe vera/vitamin E cream for my body (torso and face! - I'm loving this cream for my face). I bought it for my white spots when I thought it was the pityriasis alba, but decided to use it for my breasts. I read on here someone else used it to make their own breast cream so I'm wondering if the vitamin e content will have any effect on the breasts. If not then I don't mind the extra boost in antioxidants Wink
Gut Research
(I should really make a new thread for these things)

These are some VERY interesting reads:

"While a healthy gut can help to eliminate excess estrogens from the body, an unhealthy digestive tract which is fueled by refined carbohydrates, processed foods, gluten and alcohol can lead to leaky gut and an up regulation of an enzyme called B-glucouronidase, this breaks apart the bound estrogen that is getting excreted out of the body through the intestines making it easier to reabsorb into the body. This can be one of the biggest causes of excess estrogen in women and men. Beneficial bacteria can prevent this from happening by reducing dysbiosis as it is high levels of the bad bacteria that uncouple the bond between estrogen and glucuronic acid."
http://www.planetnaturopath.com/hormones...gen-levels

"Beta glucuronidase, for example, is an enzyme produced by certain unfriendly gut bacteria. High levels of beta glucuronidase disrupt the body's ability to detoxify both natural hormones and environmental chemicals. People who have high levels of beta glucuronidase in their stool may be at increased risk for breast and colon cancer. Because beta glucuronidase in the stool is easily measured, it may help assess a person's cancer risk.

Can we reduce our exposure to beta glucuronidase? Taking probiotic supplements increases the proportion of lactobacillus and bifidobacterium in the G.I. tract, which thereby decreases the number of beta-glucuronidase-producing bacteria. A diet that reduces red meat and emphasizes plenty of vegetables and fruits, whole grains and fermented milk products containing live organisms also promotes a healthy population of friendly bacteria."

It seems like a terrible cycle --> herbs and too many supplements cause irritation to the stomach and decrease healthy gut flora --> increases amount of estrogen in body because it cannot be excreted --> have to take more supplements to reduce estrogen --> causes more irritation (!!)

I am definitely adding some probiotics (culturelle brand) to my program also because i will be on antibiotics for the next few months so that is only going to worsen my stomach issues. And for now I will be staying away from estrogen and just taking vitex. It seems that my estrogen is too high, but not sure if progesterone is necessarily LOW it may just be low compared to estrogen but still within a normal range. So I'm still not sure on the PC.

I noticed my breasts getting slightly smaller the last few days (while taking PM) but I also did lose a little weight (back to 108 Dodgy - need to figure out a way to maintain my weight better) but today when I didn't take PM and just took vitex, I noticed my breasts swelled up after massaging, a little to how they were before I took PM so I think vitex is definitely working for me! But it's too soon to say for sure so I'll post more updates as they come. Wink

Happy growing lovely ladies!
Congrats on your awesome progress so far! I wanted to ask you what hormone imbalance symptoms you experienced when you started the pm? Also, that info you posted about gut health is very helpful! Thank you for that. Im also struggling to maintain my weight and I'm at 110 currently but it's SO easy for me to lose weight so I have to work really hard to maintain it. How tall are you? (if you don't mind me asking)
