I'm gearing up to start my next round of nbe and I'm doing research while I let myself adjust to my new bcp and I got to thinking...

Essential oils are awesome. We use them at the salon I work at and my esthitician friend is all about them. She had one blend that basically saved us when all the girls had pms at the same time lol. We dabbed it on our ankles. I've also seen her and my other coworkers mix them in water and drink them.

Would essential oils work in nbe? And if so, which kind? I thought of adding peppermint oil when applying other topicals because it's supposed to "push" things into your skin. And I'm sure certain ones would be great to diffuse.
I use lavender and tea tree oils in a coconut oil rub when I do my massaging. I've read several places, including here on BN, that there is research showing a link between boys who used lavender & tea tree oil products and the developing of gynocomastia (sp? Lol I know that's off). Basically, the boys started developing breast tissue. So I figure it couldn't hurt. I take a little more than quarter size chunk of my coconut oil (its solid at cool temps and melts as it heats up) and let it start melting in my palm, then add 2 drops of each of my essential oils, rub my palms together to melt and mix it all together, and then massage away!

Just began massaging a few days ago while I'm waiting to have the spare $$$ to buy my herbs. May have to keep track of my progress w just the massage and oils so I can report back the results before I start the herbs...
That's awesome! I've been reading about the lavender thing here and there but I'm iPad is on the fritz and it's making browsing the site hard. I bet it would work in a diffuser as well! Plus I just love the smell of lavender... Mwahaha

Grapefruits are supposed to be good for breast growth. I wonder if the essential oil would be good for massage? I am planning to use it to help me lose some of this weight I gained on the Mirena since it helps suppress your appetite anyways. I used a blend of oils (I'm not sure what was in it, it was in a roller ball and my friend was just like here!) because I had terrible cramps at work today and I put it on my abdomen and it worked so well. Surely there's a blend that would, at the least, help balance hormones.

Science-y side of BN, where yall at?
