Full Version: Is Organic Kelp good for NBE ?

I would like to pick you experienced and knowledgeable NBEers a question regarding kelp as a supplement. It seems to offer some goodness. I saw some powdered Kelp on ebay, not in pill or capsule form. How much would I take ?

Kelp has a salty taste and is used by many people in place of salt. It has a high content of natural plant iodine, which is absorbed much more slowly and therefore more safely, than chemical iodine. Be mindful of the following to when you purchase - fukishima contamination and what not..
Testing for radioactive contamination shows no presence of iodine-131, caesium-134 or caesium-137.

But you have reminded me to start taking it again which is good.

Ellagraig I contacted the seller of the kelp, and it is sourced from Canada which is affected by Fukushima Nuclear Plant disaster in Japan is now actively in the ecosystem all along the North American west coast.

No Ellacraig the brand I was looking at to buy.
I've gone off the idea of Kelp now, too risky.
Am thinking of Wheatgrass powder now. Smile

That's good. I'm so Glad you brought that up cause whenever I get tuna or salmon it's wild Alaskan caught so that means it's in the bad zone right?? Now our fish doesn't get radiation test Sad
I'm have to rethink my fish sources now.
Kelp is great though. I'd still get it to help regulate everything as long as your thyroid needs it Smile
Wheat and barley grass super too. I am thinking to substitute my multi vits for superfiods now.
