Hi all this is my first post. I have a set of the wide/large domes I have been using for 2 weeks. Not much to see yet but I'm hopeful. I started with the Smartbox but went to the airlock when I decided the Smartbox didn't have enough suction. After reading the posts here about the silicone rim rolling under and separating from the hard plastic domes when too much suction was applied caused me to worry that I would do the same to my set. I discussed this with my husband and we think we can solve the problem but it involves removing the old Brava rims and making some new ones. He says that there is some very soft silicone (about the same as the Brava) that could be used instead. This would be fully cured silicone that would not tear. A mold would need to be made using a old Brava dome and then the silicone would be poured in and allowed to set. There is also the possibility of using 2 or three different hardness of silicone which may make the roll under problem go away. I don't want to tear apart my very new domes to do this but would like to experiment. Does anybody have any domes which are beyond use? I would like to get some with bad rims them remove the old and try experimenting with the new silicone. I will be willing to pay the shipping. If this works maybe we could make up some for somebody else to try. This may be pie in the sky and will become a big mess but I want to try anyway as my husband says it is very possible. If any one is willing to help let me know and we can PM about it. Thanks in advance.

Hi! I don't have any extra domes, but I ordered the brava system, so I'm going to follow your thread. It hasn't arrived yet, so I can't test it out and see if there's rolling or not yet. Btw- I ordered medium wide domes. I think I might have to get large wide domes relatively soon. So, when you're ready to size up, let me know & I might buy yours from you.

Also, what are your measurements? I'm just curious because I saw a photo of a woman holding large wide and I have no idea how that's going to fit on my body, although I'll need them to. I read somewhere (I think on here) about cutting the silicone rims in the cleavage area so they'd both fit on a smaller frame chest.

And, how's your progress so far?
Btw, brava domes are extremely hard to find to actually purchase (for those of us who didn't order directly from Brava). I highly doubt you'll find any for free. You'll probably have to keep checking this forum (esp the marketplace area) and EBay and actually purchase some, new or used.
Hey Charlie girl,
You got medium WIDE domes? I got large narrow domes! But I'm not sure if I should get WIDE? I think your measurement is similar to mine (though I think i'm heavier).

I'm 5'6", 118lbs (trying to go down to 115 lbs)
starting stats: 85cm/33.5", 71cm/28" band.

Do you like the fit of the medium wide domes?

I was hoping somebody might have a pair where the silicone rims are torn so badly they just can't be used anymore. I would think that after a while they just would not work. Why would somebody keep them if the domes can't be used. There is the fact that the domes originally cost a lot of money so maybe they just can't let them go even if they are useless. Anyway I'm still hoping.
I had to quit as I'm getting a extremely bad rash and blisters. It took weeks to go away and then came back in one day of trying the domes again. I think I may have become allergic to the sticky stuff on the rims. Does anyone know how to take the sticky off.
MaryContrary,

I had a similar issue... which caused me to quit 2 to 3 times. Sad My skin's too sensitive to the glue I think and reacted badly. I was so close to giving up this whole thing because I thought there was just no way for me to make it work after trying so many times.

Then one brava coach asked me apply organic pure coconut oil, wait for 10 minutes, then put on the domes. It worked. I have been using it for 9 weeks now. Goal is to keep using it till the end of the year!

The first few days I would only wear it for 4 hours, then 6 hours, then 8 etc, which I think also helped. Now I'm between 10-14 hours/day. Trying to make sure I get at least 12-15 hours in a day.

But then a couple of days ago I called them again and a difference coach told me that coconut oil ruins the glue so the suction won't be as strong so the effect wouldn't be as strong. So now I'm not sure what to do.

A part of me thinks that weaker effect is better than no effect because I feel like coconut oil was the only way that I was able to last this long.
I think maybe I'll make it up for using it for a longer period of time (i.e. more weeks).
Hope this helps!!

Yeah, what's crazy is they're too small for me, so I'm buying some large wide. And I don't mean because I have Nice big boobies yet, because I dont. Haha! When I did the measurments on the brava calculator it said medium-wide, but when I added an inch to my bust size it said large-wide. I just jumped all over this EBay sale that was medium wide because I couldn't turn down the price. They still work, I just can't get all my boob in there from side to side- and I have small boobs!! I don't know. My starting boob diameter was 6" (from outside crease to inside crease along my nipple height, 2" from bottom of aerola to bottom of breast. I don't think large narrow would get all of mine from side to side, but I don't know. What are your domes measurments just below the silicone from rim to rim? I'll have to measure mine when I get back home. Measure your breast diameter too (might be different on each side).
It's easier to measure right after you take an underwire bra off.
The organic coconut oil is a good idea!! I know of something that will take the sticky right off, but you have to wash the silicone with warm soapy water right afterwards and I'd wash it 2-3 times. There's this stuff called goof-off and another one called Goo be gone. I think Goof Off works better. But I do think that all tackiness gone would make it harder to get a good seal. A friend of mine removed all of her sticky stuff with Goof Off, then bought some roll-on body glue and says she hasn't had any more skin reactions so I might try that.

There's also some silicone gel sheets for scar treatment that you could try to put on your skin first, then put the domes on, on top of those to help with skin issues (without taking off the sticky). Or even that fabric medical tape while leaving the sticky on? I'm experimenting too since my skin gets pissed. Im going to try out several things before resorting to the body glue & removing the sticky.
I think those tiny water blisters are because our skin is sweating and the sweat is just accumulating instead of evaporating while we're also getting sucked for hours on end. Haha! So, I'm *thinking* that maybe the fabric medical tape could help absorb as well as protect? I don't know yet- I haven't tried it. I did try to use my sons old burp cloth because it's so airy loose weaved, but I couldn't get suction at all.

Also, if your brava bra isn't tight enough, try one of those fitness tank tops that have the shelf liner bra inside. I'm using one and it works so much better than the brava bra. Mine is the size to fit me without the domes, so it holds the domes nice & tight Smile
Update- neither fabric medical tape nor gauze worked. But I'm using something else right now that I think might actually work! I'll update tomorrow and let you know after I see how my skin reacts Smile
