Full Version: How do I know I pump too much or too little?

Hi all,

I have read lots of posts, but so far not everything from my research has answered my questions.

My noogleberyy arrived 2 days ago, I started pumping very little and today is my third time pumping.

the pros: the rings marks fades away right away
I don't have any pains, only today when I woke up I felt a slight tightness.

the cons: I don;t see any swelling or to say it better, the swelling doesn't stay at all.

I pump and release,
I pump 5-6 times, hold it for 2 or 4 minutes and then I release, I do each boob individually. For like 30 minutes

Now, should the boobs gets red? when I see they get little red I release right away. I don;t want to become blue.
Or maybe the boobs should not get red at all?
am I over pressuring them?
but when they get red, I don;t feel any pain, and the redness after few seconds is gone.

thanks,
Seanna
I'm no pro at this, only been noogling for a month and a half, but I'll tell you what I personally think. I'm sure some other more experienced nooglers will give their advice too Smile

First, I didn't start seeing swelling afterwards until about a week into it I think. Everyone responds differently. The first thing I'll tell ya, is that if you drink a lot of water before & during pumping, you'll get much better swelling. The first time I did this, it was like night and day. Make sure you're drinking at least 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water a day anyway. More if you take herbs. Second thing I'll say, that's good you're starting off gradually and not just jumping into hour long sessions! Once you gradually increase to hour long sessions, you'll see more swelling. And doing those twice a day is better than once a day.

I always avoid letting my boobs change color too much. Def no deep red or purple! But even at really light suction, they start getting kinda pink. The suction I prefer is kinda hard to explain, not red, not light pink, but somewhere in the middle. I only suction until I feel a slight pull. Not to where it's uncomfortable. Some people say you can get more aggressive with the suction once you've been pumping for several months, but I don't personally know.

I personally think you should be holding for longer than 2-4 minutes. The methods I've seen that are typically used are either pump and hold, or 7:2, 10:3 and 15:5. (the first number being the hold time:second number being the rest between pumps time). I also got some great advice on the NB forum and they said to constantly change up your methods. So maybe one session do 7:2, the next session do 15:5, an so on. Or change them up every other pumping day.
New to pumping also.

I agree with Charlie for pumping if you have little to no tissue to begin with. I have breasts they are just "saggy" from breastfeeding. so I hold for 15min massage for 5. I also pump until my breasts turn pink and start to fog up my domes. I started having slight swelling a few days ago & I've been pumping for a week.

good luck. sending you big boobie vibes.

love the big boobie vibes!!!!
thank you so much!
ok, it works, my boobs are not very big yet or the swelling is not as much as some people, but they are rounder and even more perkish.

I do now the 15 minutes and stop for 2 minutes for about 45 min to an hour each boob.
I don't use much suck pressure, I don;t want to create any problems, just enough to be comfy and to swell.

thank you both for your replies!
I do have some tissue, im not completely flat, but i like that they are getting rounder.
I saw a picture of a girl with a nice B cup, it is not the size I guess im after, it is the roundness and fullness, and i will be super happy to create enough cleavage and to balance my curves.

strong positive booby vibes to everyone!!!!!
