Does anyone know if it’s safe to take Maca while on BO?

I’ve read several places that one should not combine BO with phytoestrogen. So I’m wondering if maca would be safe, as it helps with hormonal stabilization.
Hi Maria,

Have you already tried BO and MACA? How's about the effects?

Cause i'm on MACA now and wondering if it's safe to start BO and other glandular therapies.

I've already tried cycling herbs (PM + FG + SP...)for some time and haven't noticed a visible improvement on breast growth, so now i'm thinking to stick with a different programme. And your experience? have you noticed breast growth with MACA?
Hi Maria and Odile!

I have been on Maca for about five weeks now; started Swanson BO and other glandulars on the first day of my period on Sep 27th.

The effects have been great so far and I have to say that I really feel GREAT, too... no mood swings at all (not even the slightest PMS symptoms either, I am on the 2nd day of my next period today).

I take LOTS of gelatinized Maca - a massively heaped teaspoon three times per day, mixed with water and cream (40% fat). I really, really love it...

Now during my period, I am having my 5 or so days off of Maca (but still taking BO and other glandulars) and it's not easy for me to stay away from my Maca jar... Blush

I am noogling, too; taking a 1-2 day break every four days or so.

This is my first post here (registered on Saturday but haven't had the time to write up som introduction yet). What a great place this is, I really like the spirit!

All the best to you and happy growing! Big Grin

What other glandulars and supplements do you take with B.O.

What kind of results/sensations have you had since taking B.O.
Hi Blueberry,

I've just posted my program with all supps etc. here:

http://www.breastnexus.com/showthread.php?tid=22023

Regarding sensations: I feel great (no bad side effects at all), have lots of energy and my girls are really, really alive again - growin pains and all (I've always loved that feeling).

For the results, just check my signature (or program thread).

Happy growing! Smile
Hi Sunny68,

Thak you for your answer and infos, they're very usefulSmile

I've checked your program thread and first of all your breasts look amazing and not small at all Big Grin
Can i ask you, exactly why to take other glandulars with BO?
And you've also said that you have other german domes for noogling, can i ask you the brand?

Hi Odile,

thank you Big Grin and I'm glad to hear that the info was useful to you!

I am taking the Thyroid and Kelp to support my thyroid as my values were rather low (although still within the "norm") when checked recently. My body temperature had become rather low, too. I plan on only taking them for the first two months though (60 caps) and then see how I feel.

As the pituitary is quite the hormonal "control center", I wanted to give it some activating impulse via the pituitary glandular tissue, just like I do for my ovaries.

The Multi-Glandular for women contains not only ovary and uterus to support these, but also heart, kidney and liver - I used to regularly eat the latter three when I was living in the country and had access to fresh game. I have a strong feeling that these are missing from today's "normal" meat dishes, which only consist of the most lean muscle parts. Compared to eating heart etc., the amounts in the capsules are of course homeopathic, haha (which doesn't mean they will not work though!)

The domes I got from Germany are made by a company called Fröhle, they manufacture cupping equipment of all kinds. The cups are quite expensive but have a much better form and are flexible. They come with silicone rings for cushioning. I'll do an upload of a picture in my program thread some time, if you'd like to have a look. Most of the images on the net are rather small.

I do not like the Fröhle pump very much though, so I usually connect my Noogleberry pump to the domes. Wink

Hope this was helpful and happy growing to you!
Hi Sunny68,

Thanks again for your answer.

Can i ask you why have you chosen MACA instead of other herbs like PM, FG, SP...as you say you have low estrogen and probably high levels of testosterone?

Cause i'm with some doubts about MACA now. I've reaserched that it is an adaptogen and it will help to regulate hormones (that's why i've started with it), but here in some threads i've read that MACA will increase testoterone.
Hi Odile,

the reason for me not to take phytoestrogenes (yet), is that I want to activate my own hormone production => glandulars. This is also the reason for me to take Maca, as it balances hormone production, while not containing any phytohormones itself.

If possible, I prefer regulation over direct hormonal influences, even phyto. Right now, I am considering PM - but only topical, as an addition to my breast cream.

With regard to Maca generally raising testosterone: I really do not know where that idea comes from, as I could not find any such information except for people saying so on forums. They might have gotten the idea from the fact that it

- might do so in men with low testosterone (as an adaptogene)
- same for women with low testosterone (personally, I'd prefer a slightly higher testosterone level over too low testosterone levels any time)

It helps with building muscle (or so it is said), but I suppose that this is due to its general nutritional benefits, rather than by way of raising testosterone levels.

I LOVE Maca and cannot wait for my break to be over... So far, my stats have been better than I could have been imagined, so Maca does not seem to have any slowing effects on me.

When I started, I at first considered taking Maca ONLY, for at least a month or so, to balance my hormones. But as my balance does not seem to be very far off, I started taking the glandulars after one week, when my period arrived. Big Grin
Hi Sunny68,

Related with that question about people saying that MACA increases testosterone...

I've been reaserching and i've read that MACA increases DHEA and cortisol, and DHEA increases testosterone. And DHEA may cause decreased breast size in women. That's why some women take herbs to promote aromatase, to help the conversion of testosterone into estrogen (estrone and estradiol). Estrone seems to be the predominant estrogen in postmenopausal women and to be a carcinogen... Estradiol is important for normal breast development. Cortisol seems to have a opposite interation with progesterone, so with stress you will produce cortisol and in order to produce cortisol the body will use progesterone and this will increase the estrogen dominance of a woman. But i've read here in the forum that cortisol supresses estrogen...
i'm so confuse!! ://

Well if MACA is an adaptogen should it increase DHEA?
