Hi everyone

I'm 32, female, size 34AA (literally flat) and not on any BC. I've been browsing both this forum and the noogleberry forum. I've just started on Noogleberry, yay!

About 10 years ago, I gave NBE a try and I remember there was a doctor who was very active on the forums and gave very good advice.

As far as I can remember, there were 3 important things he said.

1) The key is to increase estrogen and progesterone. Many only took the estrogenic stuff and hence experienced weight gain and other pms like symptoms. He recommended rubbing progesterone cream from life flo on days 12 to 26 of the cycle. That's a rough guideline and how much cream to use depends on individuals.

I remember when I used the cream. You could tell when you have used enough. My skin would be glowing but not oily. I would feel really energetic and felt slim. So I guess the main thing is to achieve the estrogen/progesterone balance.

But what I cannot remember is-whether taking BO requires the progesterone cream as well? Is BO estrogenic? I know for sure herbs are.

2) You need to make sure your body temperature is at a certain range otherwise NBE wouldn't work. Can someone please advise me how to take my body temperature accurately and what the right temperature should be?

3) Protein shakes are a must. No doubt about that Smile

Lastly, I hope that like many of you here, I can persevere for the next 6 months at least and achieve some results. I refuse to give in to genetics (most of my family female members are quite flat) and of course surgery.

Cheers

Kai

I would like to know that, too. I've heard some people say that BO (or BB, at least) is progesterone based, but there was no conclusive reasoning behind that that I saw.

You use your basal body temperature. If you google that, there are lots of sites detailing how to take it. Basically, you want to take your temperature first thing in the morning right after you wake up. Keep the thermometer next to your bed because you want to move as little as possible before you take your temperature. I think you might need to take the temperature at the same time every day, but I'm not sure. Some sites also say that you should use a fertility thermometer because it's more accurate and sensitive. I think you should aim for a temperature over 98 degrees F, but it might vary from person to person.

Good luck!
