Soo - I just got my CL dome today and I am super excited - it's nearly my 1 year anniversary since I started NBE and I have been Noogling with medium domes for 8 months. I don't have a lot of growth on the measuring tape but my breast are wider and fuller and no longer fit my 32B/ 10B bras (so I have moved up to 32C/ 10C and these fit).

I put my trusty bubble wrap padding on the CL dome so that my cardiologist and SO will be none the wiser and started pumping as normal. I noticed that my breast turned a darkish purple fairly quickly and I really had to pump to keep any suction at all. When I took them off normal colour resumed but I had slight bruising at the armpits (so I have folded the padding over in those areas.

Prior to starting with the CL domes, I also did a few 7 min sessions with the M's. These stay on fairly easily and don't cause any bruising or skin issues.

I think that the CL needs more suction to stay on and as a result leaving the dome on for 7 mins will cause damage. Over time I will hopefully tolerate it better (the dome is exactly right width wise) but I will have to start out very slow I think.

Did anybody else have this problem of an apparent reduction to tolerance for noogling when moving up a size?
Congratulations on graduating a size! I've had problems between sizes of domes before.... I think that its due to the surface area of the breast exposed directly to the negative air pressure.... with the smaller domes your breasts are sucked in and most of the breast is tight against the dome walls and only a small area on the front of the breast is exposed to the pressure... When you move to a larger dome more of the breast is exposed directly to the pressure... which it's not used to.... make any sense?
I've had a lot of issues as well. I first bought the CL domes but those suckers are HUGE. I think they may have sent me the CXLs. I bought the Ls and those are a more logical step up. I tend to do Ms first, then do the Ls on one side at a time with the Ms on the other side. I simply cannot get a good suction with L's on both. It's very frustrating!
Sounds like the L's try to pull in more flesh than you have available, Wishin..... I've seen the same thing where I've pumped just one breast.... the other one goes flatter as the extra skin on my chest is pulled into the one dome.... agravating.....

I was thinking that or my body simply isn't wide enough to handle the 2 of them at once. The right one seems to push off of my body just enough to break the seal. Hopefully once I grow a bit the extra flesh will alleviate this annoying problem!
Too bad there wasn't a way of fitting different sized gaskets to one size dome (Larger) and that way you could start smaller and work you way up as you grow... with smaller increments that the current domes allow....
I had a bit more success today... still using the mediums a lot because it's easier but I put the CL on without padding and got it to stay for a few mins. Going to gradually introduce that size. The dome encases the breast perfectly, but there is not a lot of tissue to generate suction, which is more difficult on the left side due to a surgical scar. On the plus side I think I got a bit more swelling - now reaching 90cm instead of 89cm... just have to keep it up and take it slow. A year ago before I started I was measuring 85cm on a good day.
What if you pump with the mediums for 5 or 10 minutes till you get some initial swelling sufficient enough to switch to the larges? Might work...
