I've read in multiple program threads on the forum that describe candida diets and treatments yet not completely addressing what it is and how it affects all aspects of life and/or NBE.

Candida is a form of yeast and can effect the body in multiple adverse ways.

I'm unsure precisely how it would affect the body when it comes to NBE besides the potential to lower body temperatures and such.

I've read about it from multiple people who struggle with it on the forum and have also gone to google and read about it on the Mayo Clinic website along with multiple other trusty sources when it comes to candida.

I understand the symptoms list and the various forms of treatment that are often homeopathic.

While I understand and comprehend that, I'm unsure if it is of nature that I would want to create an appointment with my general doctor to be tested for it verses just taking a shot in the dark and guessing about it and such.

Any advice and further knowledge from those who suffer the issue or those who have done advanced and complete comprehensive readings on it please let me, and likely others know!
Here is a link to a website with a lot of info on it. I used thier product threelac when I got a really bad thrush infection during breastfeeding. I think I may still have an issue so I would like to do it again. http://www.candidasupport.org/index.html

ETA - I used a TON of different other things to try and get rid of it and the threelac worked the best. Grapefruit seed, gentian violet etc. I did a round of 2 weeks of diflucan from the doctors too, and that helped alot, but didnt get rid of it totally. That was a few years ago and my diet has probably been the reason why I still mayb have some problems with it (white tongue, low enery, hair loss are my main symptoms)
kmgator,

If you don't have it, there's no reason for you to worry about it or get tested for it. The reason those of us who have it are trying to get rid of it - yes is mainly for the body temperature issue. But more obvious to us is the white tongue and general feeling of not being well. It's really hard to shake off.

I've tried the strict Candida diet, Coconut Oil Pulling, Ingesting Coconut Oil, Ingesting Cayenne Pepper, and now the Adrenal Support pills. Still not at 98.2 and still stuck with the Candida! We can't get Threelac in Australia!
Well for years I've had the same symptoms as those I've read on some of the sites detailing candida, hence why I'm asking the opinions of you ladies and gents here to receive a better overall opinion on experience and commonality of symptoms for it across the board.

I also know that my gyno told me recently at my yearly visit that I have a whiter discharge and likely have a higher concentration of yeast.

I also know my temperature is closer to 97 than 98.

All of that combined I've started to think maybe I should look into this possible issue and debate having pathology run the levels and such.
Well I did the candida test from the site Angel posted... That came out positive.

Due to the spit test in a glass of water being positive should I look into being tested by my NP or should I try home remedies first?
I really have wondered about that spit test. It seems like all spit would do the same thing lol. If I knew someone who didnt eat any sugar I would make them do it and test it out. I really since everyone has some candida in their body they would fail the test. I just started another round of threelac yesterday, but I ate some sugary stuff too so I need to quit that! I will see how my mouth is doing in a couple of weeks.
Yeah, I agree Angel.

Yet I do wonder if a normal person who doesn't have abnormal levels of yeast would "pass" the spit test even if they ingest sugar and such.

I'm just sorta to the point where I have the symptoms that I've cross referenced across multiple sites to where I wonder if an actual test from my NP is in order, ya know? Especially since she did say I have a higher yeast content in my lady bits.

I'm just happy it doesn't seem to affect my progress too too much since I apparently am having alright results.
