Flaxseed & EPO

Hi All,
I have a combination skin but it seems quite oily recently. I'm wondering if the Flaaxseed & EPO I have in my regime is the cause. Any ideas? I take 1200mg Flaxseed and 1000mg of EPO

Possibly, most people finds the oils are good for the skin but not sure if they meant for wrinkles / dryness / acne etc. Leave the oils out for a month and see if that's any better or you could try some different skin products. When you say recently, has it been over a month? Most people find their skin is different at different points in their cycle.

Yup,Louise is right in that most people say it helps their skin. However, I do recall someone saying something about getting acne from oils... so my best advice would be to try one, or the other, or a new one altogether until you find one that works good for you. Or, yeah just try take a break from them... those don't sound like too high amounts though...

Thanks girls, It does seem to be all month round so I think I might miss them out next cycle and see if it makes any difference :-)

For me the flaxseed was no problem but I noticed acne right away after taking EPO,
when I stopped taking it the acne was gone! Hope this helps!

I've heard that EPO is supposed to be good for acne and some people positively recommend it. However in my case taking EPO seemed instead to give me acne right away.

same thing happened to me, but the acne is only on my forhead (covered by bangs) and the rest of my face is looking really good.
i've been on epo/flaxseed for two months now. i'm off herbs and i havent lost any of the gain. i'm hoping to grow with epo/flaxseed, so i'll give it anothe four months at least...

I've been taking 3000mg each of both flaxseed oil and EPO for 6 months now and my skin is far less oily than it used to be. I'm thrilled! It was the bane of my existence before and now my skin appears normal. It could be down to the other things I'm taking but the oils certainly haven't made my skin oilier.

Frostedmint, have you seen any growth with epo/flaxseed? I'm taking the same amount as you are...always swell up right before aunt flo, and deflates again which is a real let down...

Hi Shyra,
I've grown an 1 1/2". I started out as a 34AA and now wear a 34A. My program consists of herbs and massage as well so it's hard to know exactly which has worked or if it's a combination of things. A lot of successful programs seem to include oils though.
