Hi Guys,

My name's Steve DeVere, I'm a hypnotherapist, and I've noticed a lot of confusion and questions in the forum about hypnosis. So, I'd like to help clear up any mysteries or misunderstandings, if I can. I'll start by answering a few common questions below, and feel free to jump in and ask anything you're curious about.

Q: What does trance feel like?

There's no correct way for trance to feel, some trances are relaxing, some are filled with confusion, shock, excitement etc. It all depends on what's being communicated by the therapist, and how you mind's reacting to it. In some studies hypnotherapists have even had their clients act completely awake and normally while remaining in trance, and the only people to spot anything peculiar were other's that are skilled at recognizing subtle body language cues of trance.

But, most hypnosis programs sold online use relaxation inductions, so mostly you can expect to feel relaxed, and maybe dreamy.

Q: Will it work if I fall asleep?

As far as I know, nobody's ever done a proper study on the effectiveness of therapy when you fall asleep during hypnosis. But, since so many therapists recommend using their program while you're in bed at night, and their clients still get good results, it looks like it works just fine.

Sleep and trance are two separate mental states, so being aware of what's going on will always give you a decent chance of getting good results.

But, when your mind's relaxing while you fall asleep, your conscious defenses are down, and you're not analyzing everything that you're hearing. So, it's pretty much the same result as trance, except that you might fall asleep part way through.

Even if you're asleep for some of it, your subconscious is still hearing everything, and reacting to it in some way. I can't say it'll be as effective as being awake for it, but maybe it'll do something.

Q: How long until I see results?

Well, everybody's different, but in studies done on breast enlargement hypnosis everyone had measurable results after 12 weeks, but some took a little while longer than that to get to the size they wanted.

At the same time, there are a small number women who report growing a couple of cup sizes in the space of a week or two.

So, you're looking at somewhere between 1 and 24 weeks of daily use before you get a huge difference. Just luck of the draw I guess.

Of course, some hypnosis programs are better than others, so that can influence things as well.

Fire away

I hope that helps clear a few things up. And I'm open to any questions, so fire away.
Can you reference the exact studies? Do you know who funded them? Were they peer reviewed?
Yes, the studies I'm referring to were peer reviewed, and I'll list them below, including where and when they were originally published.

Stimulation of Breast Growth by Hypnosis
James E. Williams
The Journal of Sex Research Vol. 10, No. 4 (Nov 1974)

Hypnotic Stimulation of Breast Growth
Allan R. Staib & D. R. Logan
American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis, Volume 19, Issue 4, 1977

Breast Enlargement through Visual Imagery and Hypnosis
Richard D. Willard M.D.
American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis, Volume 19, Issue 4, 1977

As for funding, I have no idea. I doubt there's anything sinister behind it, because no individuals or corporations stand to gain significantly by making breast enlargement cheaper. Of course there have been royalties on books for a few authors.
Is your program suitable for younger than 18 year olds?
Why or why not?
Thanks Smile
It's suitable for all ages, although if you start your six year old on it I might have to come round and give you a slap.

Seriously though, I don't see how any health problems could happen as a result of using the program. Many teenage boys regularly lift weights, and that increases their testosterone levels by as much as 100%, so raising a girl's level of female hormones so her body fills out in a feminine way shouldn't cause any issues. Besides, there's natural a wide variation of hormone levels between individuals.

The general view of doctors seems to be that breast growth generally lasts around 4 years after the onset of puberty, but everyone's different, so there is some chance you'll have another growth spurt after that. If you're willing to take the chance of getting more than you want, go for it, you only live once.

If you did end up too large, I know a lot of hypnotherapists are offering breast reduction hypnosis these days. I haven't looked into it myself though.
