Okay, so I was justwondering about hormones, and emotions, and periods and all. I wasn't sure where to put this, since hormones still play a part in NBE...

Anyways, I've alwys felt out of whack, my feelings and all. Lately I've only had physical pain during my period, and not much noticable emotional stuff I used to get. When I would get my period before, I'd get cramps, feel like I wanted to vomit, be cranky & easily irritated, my mood swings (more on this in a minute) would get a thousand times worse, I'd get cravings, and I just hated it. Though now, it seems like I havn't been getting any of that... Maybe it started when I started changing my diet? I'm not sure, but I'm glad. Now I've just been getting cramps.

The thing is I seem to get more of this when I'm not on my period anymore. I've always had mood swing issues, but lately they've been like how I used to get when on my period. Actually, I've felt more "normal" on my period, minus the cramps. Is this normal?
Is there anything I do for this?
I really don't like mood swings, and it feels like they've just gotten worse... Sad I don't like crying at random times for no reason, or getting angry over nothing. It's exhausting.
Oh my, that's no good! My moods change a LOT on their own, so it's hard to say what the hormone changes are doing to me. :/

It's possible that your body's adjusting to the diet changes, but it's also possible that everything you're doing is changing the hormone levels in your body. A healthier diet may be helping your body produce more hormones since you're still in your teens, and if that's the case, then that's good for NBE. It just sucks being so moody like that and not being able to control it...

Wish I knew something to help. If I can come across anything that might help, I'll let you be the first to know!
Thank you!!
I'm going to start looking for some ways I could fix this. I hate getting down, or angry, or upset, I don't want to take it out on anyone and I don't like feeling like that. Sad
I need all the help I can get, so if I do find anything, I'll post it here.

Changing my diet more should help too, right? I'm working on that, and have already made good changes within the last few months. I just need more organic, and less processed.
I'm also getting together a basic exercise routine, some muscle building moves.
Now all I can think of is hormones...

How do levels change during a woman's period?
Off to look it up.
Found some stuff...

Now I understand aout the whole cycling herbs during NBE. Smile I dont't feel like and idiot anymore.

Okay, so that explains to me for herbs, but I'm not doing herbs for NBE, and I still need stuff for the moodiness and all...

This kind of brings me back to when I was looking at l-theanine...

*I was thinking, if I got something to help out with the 'feel good' triggers, I might be able to get my emotions under control. Objections welcomed, I don't want to do anything bad.

"Absorbed in the intestinal brush-border membrane, L-Theanine, due to its fat solubility, is incorporated into the brain via the leucine-preferring transport system of the blood brain barrier. Once absorbed into the brain, L-Theanine exhibits many positive, physiological effects."
"Dopamine, one of the brain’s neurotransmitters, is said to affect human emotion. L-Theanine also increases GABA levels in the brain which leads to a feeling of well-being."

These sound like things I need as well:
"v Promoting relaxation without causing drowsiness

v Improving learning and concentration

v Heightening mental acuity

v Supporting the Immune System

v Lowering Cholesterol

v Reducing stress and anxiety

v Reducing the negative side effects of caffeine"

"L-Theanine, by increasing L-Dopa levels, also increases HGH levels, leading to faster weight loss with lower percentages of body fat and higher percentages of lean muscle."

And if it helps out with Human Growth Hormone (good for NBE right?), and my emotions, this looks like something I do want to try...
