Hello ladies I just recently received my Noggleberry on Saturday and as I was using it one of my montgomery glands on my areola popped I was totally freaked out it has me scared to use it again... Is this normal or am I pumping too hard??????????????
You are definitely overpumping. One of my Montgomery tubercle got clogged once while on noogleberry. I discovered that it was the cause of putting oil on it (for better swelling). I still e-mailed Noogleberry staff to make sure that it was not the noogling and this is what Lucy said:

Quote:Over Pumping can cause bruising a discharge but its not common if you are careful.

Please stop pumping until the tubercle/lump resolves and im sure everything will be fine. But please email me again if you are unsure.

normally this is either colorless or milky as it comes from the milk ducts

the glands around the areola can sometimes exude clear fluid but yours sounds like more to do with a clogged duct/pore so im sure if you can keep it clean and wait for it to resolve , you will be ok to restart pumping

Sometimes we release this sebum faster and at a larger amount when we squeeze or put some sort of pressure on the areola. In this case, my guess is that you have been overpumping. Pump lighter and also e-mail Lucy for her advice. Depending on how badly it is, I would suggest you take a break to heal.
Thank you.....I was freaked out
Hi! I noticed after noogling today that I have some clogged glands too and I'm really worried about them. Can't stop thinking about and "feeling" them, you know? I think I'm a bit paranoid! I don't know if too much pressure is what caused them. Well, I have a gauged pump and usually stay around -5, but sometimes and can't resist and noogle up to -6.5 or -7 -- is that too much pressure? I use the pump and release technique, leaving the domes on for 20 seconds. Also I've been using a nipple stopper, could that be causing it? And just one more question. Rosance talked about oil, I'm not sure if I got it right. Does applying oil to the areola increases the chances of clogging those glands?
I'll stop noogling for a while and hope they disappear!
Could you at least tell me how long does it take for those Montgomery's glands to go back to normal? I know that time responses are different for each person but I'd just like to have an idea because mine are still the same. Is it day, weeks or months?
